Is K4 available locally and roughly how much?

Regina didn't have stock for K4 last month.

 

Like that it's really easy to remove and clean the visor for K3. But when it rains, the rain drops collect on the visor, can't see far. Anyone have experience using anything that repels water droplets?

guys, pls beware when buying agv visors from regina. i paid them $40 for an agv visor towards the end of last year. last week i noticed that the visor had lots of small little pockmarks as if the layer coating was spoilt. then when riding the tear-away visor knobs fell off. upon checking, i discovered the visor they sold me was not an AGV visor. As it did not have the agv logo.

 

i can only blame myself for not checking the visor thoroughly before payment. now i'm stuck with a FF i can't use because of spoilt visor, and i do not want to patronise that shop again. i don't have a choice where else to get the AGV original visor.

 

once bitten twice shy. fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me. i'm staying away from them indefinitely.

Regina quoted me $400 when i went there ard December 2010. The price they eventually sell u should be lower.

 

They quoted me $280 for AGV K3 Matt Black. Sold to me for $250.

Hi guys, I have an AGV Stealth and unfortunately, one of the 'metal' grill at the rear air port got blown off when I was riding. Any if AGV or Regina sell their helmet 'spare parts'?

Base on the review online seems quite a light but 'not too ex' price range helmet.

My fren helped me buy the GP-TECH 5 continents in US cos its cheaper and shipped it through USPS to SG... Question is: is it true that i have to pay 7% GST even if its labelled as a gift cos the item is definitely >SGD$400.

You'd have to pay the 7% GST if the declared value of the item (what the seller notes in the docket) is more than S$400. Some US sellers happily declare a lower value for the benefit of the buyer, but most won't. If you haven't asked the seller about this, it is very likely that the seller will note the full value in the docket and you'd have to pay GST.

 

I was in the same position as you (bought my five continents from the US) and had to pay GST on it. Didn't bother me though - the total price I got it at was something like $700 or less. R*g*na had them at $900+ IIRC.

I got myself an AGV Blade when I enrolled at SSDC. The helmet served me really well for all lessons, revisions and test. I loved the look of it and the matte black colour it came in. It fit me great, so I have nothing but good things to say about it. Come to think of it, there is one minor one. The visor comes with an anti-fog coating on the inner surface that smudges really easily if you try to wipe down the visor surface. Easy solution: clean with warm water + a bit of dishwashing soap and viola, anti-fog coating gone!

 

$250 is fair, but I get the feeling I got mine for lower - $220 or $230 rings a bell. Haggle like crazy with cash and you should do ok.

 

I seriously considered Arai last year (admittedly for a full face) but couldn't get over several technical aspects of it - (i) nonsense visor removal mechanism (ii) heavier than its counterparts (Shoei X-11, AGV GP Tech, X-lite X802), (iii) reports that it doesn't vent as well as an X-11.

 

If you've got the money, try the Arai but also try the competition. You'll be amazed at the progress the other makes have made.

and finally for bargaining in regina, whats a gd discount margin to expect from the quote
