*Urgent*Self Skid Due to Taxis...what to do??

Okay i was riding along kampong bahru road approaching silat avenue.(T junction) as saw this taxis wanting to turn out of silat avenue, thinking that he will turn, i slowed down. But he did not move so i continue moving forward since i'm in the main road and i had the right of way. But at the last minute he had a change of mind, he moved forward. So i had to e.brake to prevent myself from hitting him and i skid and fall. I end up taking his phone noumber and licence plate but fail on getting his other particulars. I had a few abrasion. My meter of my bike broke into two piece. My headlight frame cracked and scratches on others part of the bike. I went to report the police the next day as i fail to contact him (terminate his phone?). Police say i cant write a report because my injury was minor. Any idea what else can i do now? i don't think you have a case here. unless he is honest to admit his mistake and pay for it, which i doubt so as he had cancelled his phone, there is really nothing you can do.

As long as you are unhurt and there's no damage done to the taxi, the authorities can't do nothing bout it.
