It really makes me angry when i read the newspaper this morning that ESPN wans 6 times the original amt starhub is paying it to broadcast the EPL. All starhub subscribers will have to pay 2 times the original subscription fee if that happens...We shall nt bow to them!Support S-league....whahaha.... :angry: :sweat:

S League sucks as bad as local sitcoms. Even if we need to make a stand against ESPN, there is no need to torture ourselves what.

if i have to choose between watching s-league and paying extra for EPL football...i rather do the latter...haha...i wun torture myself watching local football...totally sucks!...nuff said

S League really cannot make it lah.. The standard is so inconsistent, or is there any standard in the first place.. 7-0 8-0 score lines? :clapping: Still remember after S League was formed back in the mid 1990s, they always advertise the Singapore 2010 campaign, target to go into WORLD CUP in 2010, which is the next world cup.. I was laughing my head off at that time, alot of my friends also agreed that this dream was too ambitious, i would say IMPOSSIBLE, considering the standard of singapore soccer.. They can't even conquer Asia, let alone getting into the world's most pretigious competition? Okie, so as the years went by, the Singapore 2010 advertisement became lesser and lesser, until this recent years, no one from the Football Association even mention it, thinking that the Singaporeans will forget about the "dream" and target they once set for themselves.. To be honest, since the start of the S League until now, about 10 years, i don't think the standard of soccer has improve.. Whats the use of paying $4-5k salary for foreign "star" players who can't even play? Alot of them flop.. Let's face it, singapore soccer will never make it in the world stage.. Singapore is a $$$ country, no money you can't survive here.. The only time i really support singapore soccer was during the Malaysia Cup era, there were the likes of Fandi, Malek Awab, Abbas Saad, David Lee.. They are the ones who could really play good football..

 

As for ESPN wanting to raise the broadcast fees, i would pay for it and watch attractive football than to tune in to CNA to watch the S League.. :smile:

damn, totally agree with you! :spam: and i miss those days when we packed the national stadium FULL HOUSE watching our LOCAL soccer players played. my favourite is kwa kim song[sounds korean?]. hmm... watching the korean played tonight really bring back memories of the good old days. :thumb: btw, and yet again, after national theatre and national library, national stadium gonna be gone forever! o_O

no offence here but s league standard is way too far compared to other leagues.. wud rather pay more to watch better football..

wat do u expect from S-League?? not much or even nothing...we can't compare our local players to those foreign players...our standard are way below them but at least give them the support... Our local squad will be playing in the Asean Football Championship and will be kicking off tomorrow against Vietnam..

 

Common let's give them our support!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheeky:

yeah man..! China only managed beat us 1-0 and drew with us 0-0 here...We even beat Iraq 2-0 here...that's quite remarkable isn't it... :cheeky: :thumb:
