I just tested this morning. $5 of petrol only can last for ard 35km for me. That is pretty high fuel consumption right ? If i go down to shop what must i tell the mechanic to change/do ??

weird. i wonder how u came out with those figures.

$5 buys u 2 litres, so yours is 17.5km/L, which is ok wat.

anyway i still can't figure out how u derive those numbers....

if u are so concerned about fuel consumption, you shouldn't have got a SP in the first place.

oh, and they provide original Honda parts. U can request for aftermarket if you're on the budget line, no problem.

You want original stuff can get from FJT also..Anyway thanks for sharing the info with us..

as your bike is still under warranty dun pay a cent for any changes.

Bike under warranty doesn't mean the bike shop will change the parts for you for free..They will charge you yes they will..If not they will just adjust here and there and then say this thing just a bit loose or what not..Anything to be changed to a new one means you have to pay..Sad but true..Their warranty doesn't cover for wear and tear or changing of new parts..Even if something goes KABOOM within that 1 mth period..

jerkybeef..I'd suggest you make a trip with them to Johor..Friendly mechs..Cheaper prices..Can top up petrol..At the same time can make more friends..Its a win-win situation..Anywho you can get the mainjets at FJT..They shouldn't cost you more than $8..

however what i can tell you about overly big fuel jets is that it feeds more petrol into your engine than is needed. which means petrol is wasted and causes incomplete combustion.

True..But incomplete combustion will always occur in a 2 stroker..You want complete get a 4stroke..Get a wave-i and join flykite..Ahaha..

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

flykite: with all due respect to a long time rider, jerkybeef's FC really too jialat already dun u think? although i agree that FC on a sportsbike is higher but if it is much higher than other bikes of the same make and model then something must be wrong. who wants to spend more than they need to right ?

compfused: yes i agree they wun pay for everything. i think i made a mistake there. however it really depends on which bike shop u buy from. I got mine from HKL and they promised to change anything i wanted as long as is not created by an accident. therefore i suppoe it is how u bargained before u put downpayment. lol. but best is jerkybeef go try his best not to spend a cent at the bike shop then can treat us to coffee ! haha

also it is true that incomplete combustion will always occur in 2-stroke bikes but too much also not good. that time my fuel jet was way too big and caused my bike to vibrate quite strongly on low rev which made it very uncomfortable and i lost 60-80km on average every tank. i remeber that time i pumped full tank get only 120km before hit reserve. i almost cried!

jerkybeef: trust me when u have rectified this problem you will be damn happy one. when i fixed this problem that time on my bike i was practically singing on my ride home ! haha.
