Well from my experience, what Supara spoke of is quite accurate (quite la.) and kaii69 is right about the comment, our speedo is buay zun 1. RVF and R1 clock me @ 180km/hr when my meter is ard 197~200 km/hr (bike vibration can't be sure its zun zun at 200).

 

 

Not exactly la, its chamber, so actually not just the outflow but the backflow is important.

 

And this is when bike is stock w/o any mod, so may I say if judging from our buay zun speedo, holding the rpm @ max hp will hit 200km/hr but actual is 180km/hr la. Other than being stock, using 520 chain front sprocket is 14 rear sprocket 39, rear tire 120/80.

 

When I used 120/80 speed is 80km/hr @ 5000 rpm, 120km/hr @ 7000 rpm and RC valve open from here on. at 110/70 speed is 75km/hr @ 5000 rpm, 110 km/hr @ 7000 rpm.

Now very poor so bought a 2nd hand tire, after install then realize it is 110/60 even smaller sia, speed is 105km/hr @ 7000 rpm, very torqy i don't like, especially at 5.2k rpm where max torque, but very nice engine braking haha~

 

BTW, the buay zun speedo error is positively non-linear, which means at lower speed it is actually more accurate to real speed while at higher speed the error starts to increase. For example, while showing 70 km/hr its actually very close to 70 km/hr but at 90 km/hr usually real speed is 80 km/hr and @ 140 km/hr real speed probably somewhere between 125~130 km/hr and @ 200 km/hr real speed is 180 km/hr.

 

These figures are taken average not just from me, but also from a bunch of friends that are riding or have rode SP before. (ya la, think I got mention, from my experience la). Might not be absolute, please don't flame, just sharing what I know. Constructive debates are welcome

 

 

 

How come the bigger tyre u use the faster the speed at lower rpm ?

 

I always thought that it was thinner tyre = higher speed at lower rpm.

 

Can clear my doubts on this?

coz it takes lesser threads to cover the same distance while for the thinner wheels takes more rounds to cover... thus the higher rpm
