Hi all! I'm faced with a situation now. And I really need help from very reliable sources. Please enlighten if anyone of you out there knows.

I want to ask, that if a person wants to buy a bike from me, and he's living in Malaysia, but he is willing to come to S'pore to deal, what is needed from him and my side, and what are the procedures? As he was saying, he used to own a Blackbird, same situation. He bought the bike here in S'pore, registered here, but he's riding there in Malaysia. So, he was saying like, just give me all the paperwork, bike and he gives me the cash, then its done. Its not that I'm doubting him, but I just want to make sure I don't get into any trouble after that.

Those who have done it before or knows please reply. Thanks in advance!

I think it is not a issue at all.

You sold your bike to him , transfer name to him, then you are in safe side.

For him , I think he must be work permit/pass/pr holder in sg.

If not he can use his friends or relative address.

It is not a problem for a malaysian to use sg register bike in malaysia, especially in Jb. I am malaysian and using Sg register bike.

Go to LTA and do a transfer and exchange money too. If the LTA transfers then you get your money, he gets his bike, end of story. If LTA doesn't allow the transfer then end of deal.

He who hesitates is lost!

He asking you to add subrider la that emans. So all still udner you but he sub rider only. Not against the law, but if anything happen, you still responsible. For eg, if he nvr renew insurance rd tax u will kena, if he kena summon u get letter etc.

If transfer name he just needs to do the normal such as insurance n transfer la. But no use for them cos they not using in sg so y pay for insurance rite?

I will NEVER go into a sub-rider arrangement with anyone, not to mention a foreign national. Just not worth the trouble.

Check with LTA if it's possible to transfer to a foreigner. If not, forget about the foreign deal and continue looking for a local buyer.

Past: KDX200, LC4 400, LC4 620, GSXR750WR

Present: CBR900RRY, Gas Gas EC250, XR250L, XR250RV, XR400 (motard-ed), NX650 Dominator

Should not be a problem to do a ownership transfer to a foreigner..

All he needs is to produce his passport with a valid insurance coverage a transfer could be done at LTA with the owner and his/her documents.
