just 1 to know who are seasoned with touring,so ez-er to hv chat on riding matters ,especially those who ride at least 3000km per mth at m'sian h'ways....i did tour spore-KL-spore almost every week with my wife as pillion, datz d reason i ask here fr those who ride CB400 of any version do like i do..

Used to be like you bro..up and down Sg-KL (my wife was taking her degree there)and many other parts of malaysia..clocked almost 40 000kms on my s4 per year toast my piston n cylinder block on the second year of the bike..changed to a bigger cc bike coz i find its less stress on the engine and parts.. On s4,160kph is about almost 10krpm but on a blackbird its only about 5.3krpm...

But dunt get me wrong on a cb400 engine durability i've a fren who own a vtec 3 and basically clocked more than 200 000kms touring and working ,no top overhaul done, engine still running right, not burning engine oil and only changed a waterpump at 150 000kms..

Hi,

some doubts with revo? Heard that if it always hit the reserve there will be problem with the fuel injection? Is it true?

Not that i know of. I always hit reserve. Had an injection issue but solved after i've sent it for injector servicing. Shop recommended to do it at 40k interval. I did it at 60k.

yep I heard about that too. Not just bikes or revo, even for cars. When fuel sensor cant sense.....= problem. Just matter of big or not so big $ spent. Not to mention fuels at low levels, heats & stresses the fuel pump for EFI also. When that goes.....also big $. For my car with 45 litre tank, I usually try to pump when theres balance of 1/3 tank. Leave 15L inside to cool & not stress the pump. For bikes unless u NSH going straight line, u will lean here & there when u make a turn/corner. hence if ur fuel level is low, imo would increase the chance of "fuel sensor/pump/injector" issues.

For S4 with 18 litre tank, imo best not wait till reserve. balance 2 bar I will pump liao. I assume 1 bar approx. 3 litre. So 2 bar = 6 litre ( balance of 1/3 tank).

Think its total of 6 bars for the 18 litre tank?

Yours is Mori full system? ( Mori only have full system isit?)

Did u also do high flow air filter + piggyback ecu/dynojet so as to maximise the entire rev range & eliminate flat spots/vibrations & such ? Thanks.

But if urs spec 1 ( >10 years old) + full system + KNN, 18/litre is expected. Natural aging. When my bro in law Spec 1 during 2003, completely no mods about 21/litre. Do u get vibrations & loss of torque at low-mid revs ?

no vibration and loss of torque

if there is, what could likely be the problem?

Wont say something wrong but will be due to loss of zorst back pressure. In ur case, since no vibe increase / loss torque at low-mid could be coz ur saved by the Vtec. :) which is also a gateway controlling back pressure by 8 valve operation

Major headache, what if your FC doesnt reach 200km??????? Tyre pressure all ok, riding btwn 90-110km/h on average. Btw riding a spec2..

Can it be due to leaking inside??

Check your air filter, Spocket size, wheel bearing, tyre pressure

yea bro. not to forget chain tension, worn sprockets, tire pressure can also contribute to bad FC :)
