I dun know abt u guys, but i usually do my servicing in JB. Its cheaper and the mechanic (who is the owner of the shop) is very efficient. I usually service my carb and tune there. Just recently changed my starter relay. The mechanic did alot of stuffs (eg cover my exposed wires and drill hole for my handle) and charge me S$50. I enquired FJT for the relay alone and they quote me $52 without installation! Go JB....it's cheap.

yesterday went to petronas. pumped approximately 8.8l of 97. mileage then was 213km.. so that means approximately 23km a litre? nowadays easy on throttle. never past rpm 6 unless necessary. easier braking. gradual acceleration. i weigh 100+ kg mind u, and with pillion 40% of the time. mostly expressways squeezing in between cos all d time travel is jam. running on mich pilot power with lots of life left and well maintained did x ring and supersprox 45t. and an engine oil at 15k mileage... bound to change soon i swear!

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

what i suggest is u go and clean your air filter, you go and service your carbs and tune. then u check your engine oil whether bound to change? your tyres are they properly inflated according to requirement? chains are they tightened or are they loose? alot of factors.. and also.. how you ride la.

Guys,...im riding the Spec2 and suspect my consumption is very bad...i can only get 240-250 before hitting reserve..is it dat bad or normal?...

the old owner is using knn filter but i think never service or clean before...looks kind of black and old...also i didnt check with the bikeshop whether they did carb servicing when i took out the bike..suspect never did...

Any other things that i should do/check to help increase my fuel consumption?

Btw if need to do carb servicing..need to change engine oil is it??....i just only changeout the engine oil and oil filter

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

If u come by woodlands, exit at danga mall. Turn right towards Larkin. On ur left there's a row of motorshop but dun go there. The shop is on ur left. It's the last shop before u go back Singapore. The mechanic name is Sifu. Chinese guy. He can explain and troubleshoot the problem wif ur bike, can even recommend what upgrades to use to enhance ur bike performance n f/c. Just mention that u get to know his place frm this bike forum. He can quote u good price. eg.servicing n tuning of carb - RM120. (Compare to S$ quite cheap). If he ask how u know the charges, just say frm me. My bike no. is FS4809L. Black color bike. In front of his shop got two S4 parked there, doing overhaul n some cosmeticsIf u still unsure where the shop

location,PM me ur hp no. and we can meet up and go there together .

Havent recheck the FC..need to wait till next week then know cos previous top up was used during the carb servicing..dun think accurate...i ride at 90-100km/h....dun really open the vtec...

3litres for reserve, depending on your fuel consumption. rough gauge is 50km.

the bike shop is on the right. bapok lane is on the left. meaning its the row of shop opposite bapok lane. So u have to U-turn at larkin overhead bridge, or do an illegal u-turn at the fire station which is faster but not safe =x

Sorry if i ride too fast, Im ALWAYS LATE.

Just went to top at Caltex Platinum 98 after clocking 287 km on V power the pervious tank.

I managed to fill up 15 ltrs only... its about 19 km per ltr only for my revo.. is that all we can get for revo.

Or riding rpm and changing gear not so good huh..

Correct. My mistake, the shop is opposite bapok lane (provided u know where is it).

If u are travelling towards larkin, the shop is on ur right on tne opposite rd. To be safe, u-turn at larkin and keep to ur left. Happy trying!

at the end of the day, i still believe fuel consumption will vary due to varying styles of riding. there are the:

1. slow acceleration and cruising below vtec.

2. slow acceleration and cruising at vtec.

3. pickup and cruising below vtec.

4. pickup and cruising at vtec.

5. mostly cruising but will tarik and engage vtec and chase once you hear the roar of another bike exhaust

6. racer siao tarik tarik all the way!

can you identify which 1 of these is your style?

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

I'm No.2... And with full system I do my shifting at 5k rpm. FC is about 360-400km per full tank.

hi guys,im getting my spec 1 nxt month n am just looking around in the s4 threads heh.

about this bikeshop,id recommend it coz i usually do my rxz there and saw many big bikes parked and engine stripped down(s4,hayabusa,fazer6,ducati 1098),the boss is the only one who fix big bikes and not his workers,i guess u can trust him since before this he worked in sg for over 10 years fixing big bikes over here before he opened his shop at jb.n his price are far more cheaper than any shop at bapok lane(for small bikes servicing n stuffs).maybe its best to go there if anybody's short on money.heh
