Just happened to see this message on SSDC website....

Dear Valued Customers

Please be informed that with effect from 1st December 2021, our practical lesson duration will be changed from 120 minutes to 100 minutes.

The session timings are as follows:

Session Mon - Fri Sat & Sun
1 7:45 am - 9:25 am 7:45 am - 9:25 am *
2 9:35 am - 11:15 am 9:35 am - 11:15 am *
3 11:25 am - 1:05 pm 11:25 am - 1:05 pm *
4 1:50 pm - 3:30 pm 1:50 pm - 3:30 pm *
5 3:40 pm - 5:20 pm * 3:40 pm - 5:20 pm *
6 6:00 pm - 7:40 pm *
7 7:50 pm - 9:30 pm *

* Peak Hour

Seems like it is an indirect increase of fees (same cost but shorten of time)....not sure if other centres are already like that or will follow soon.

This is going to make SSDC lesson for motorcycle very short as need to ride the bike from the 5th floor to the 1st floor and vice versa. The trip is going to take like 15 to 20 mins, as they like to cut short the timing. So the real lesson on the bike could be like 60 to 80 mins top.

i think for CDC & BBDC, their practical lessons are already for 100 minutes?

They don’t have to ride the bike from 5th floor to the 1st floor. The way they do it is like herding sheeps. Taking so much time.

hopefully this means they either remove the stretching portion, or do the stretching before the 100 minutes start. i remember their 1st session starts at around 8am, and their last session ends around 1030pm last time, so now it seems like the 1st session starts earlier, and the last session ends earlier now too.

but yeah, as @nowonderla said, travelling from 5th to 1st floor already takes up a lot of time, plus they always bring us back up 15-20 minutes earlier (for cr at least)...

edit: seems like Session 5 on weekdays (3:40pm - 5:20pm) also became Peak hour? the current one from 3:20- 5:20pm on weekdays are not peak hour. hmm..

hahaha yeah i found the stretching doesnt really serve the purpose. most of us just go thru the motion only. personally i felt 120min very tiring leh, especially for CR. so 100min could be the sweet spot? and congrats @coldbrew for getting your class 2B!

yeah i feel like full 120 mins would be very tiring also. but even without the new change, it's almost 100 mins already leh i feel (since they always end earlier to bring the bikes back up). maybe i'm used to it alr haha.

thanks! about time i got my 2b 😎
