You need to examine the points to see where you are losing them. Sometimes the places you are making mistakes can surprise you

Mostly was as I'd suspected. Went to slowly at fig 8; too quickly on plank (4 points each); didn't check blindspot at some point; didn't signal coming out of crank; 2 points for "incorrect technique" at e-brake. The last one is the only one that stumped me. I don't know what I did incorrectly. Maybe it was my eye line? But that would be under posture and would be 4 points...

Thanks for the tip! Will definitely try to do that.

I should, SHOULD have no problems doing fig 8 and crank course. Throwing that little ybr around is kinda fun!

Best of luck for your prac 5!!

On slope, you just have to throttle first before easing off the rear brake. Fig 8 was what frustrated me for prac 3.

After multiple CRs I've managed to decrease my plank failure rate from like 90% to 30% (I kept count)... Still working on it. Test on Sunday! gahh

I'm repeating my prac 4 for the 3rd time this Wednesday night last slot...hiaz...these days literally camping at cdc to book lessons. Btw, anyone know how to use the "Try sell tickets" function? I always see it on my receipt but not sure how to use it.

I just failed prac 5. 24 points and 1 immediate failure for going off at wrong gear resulting in almost falling. Sigh.

I got 24 points and one immediate failure last week as well. Dropped bike when turning out of nursery area. :(

Going for prac 5 this weekend again

try sell is for selling ur booked slot to others who wants it..

If someone buys ur slot then u get ur $$ back, but if no one buys it then either u go for the lesson or lose the $$$....

I see. But how to go about doing it? You must know the person in order to sell to him/her right? Have you tried it and how's the process like? Thnx.

nope u dont have to know the person, once someone buys ur slot, ur $$ will be credited into ur student account...

and u can use that $$ in ur account to book ur next lesson...

Yup i've done that before...

Don't think about your mistake too much thinking it would be immediate failure until you no mood.. I remember my first prac 5, I was no mood when came out of the nursery and I wobble and put down my foot... After that no mood already thinking about immediate failure only to realise nobody noticed it and I failed because of other things..

Thnx. Does this apply to bookings less than 48 hours, which you can't cancel normally. Under re-print receipt I saw the "Try sell tickets" but can never click on the underline. Do I need to call CDC to do that?

Passed my prac 3 on my first try.. finally!!! Something which I don't have to repeat!

0 problems on the slope! Although the steps are really confusing.

My bike had some overheating issues, idle went up to 3k while queuing to enter fig 8.. then it died. Super hot and I wasn't wearing my boots... Panicked, asked around. Lucky got a fella taking class 2 beside me and he told me to use the kick start... right I forgot the bike has a kick start. 4th kick, go! Came out with a time of 10.5x, heng ah.

Prac 4 this friday at 4pm!!

Also, its my first practical at night(evening). So much more comfortable! So cooling.

@JrCherish haha kind offer, tho traffic isn't my main problem. It's my own skill that's lacking.

@hexanol Ya I was trying real hard not to think about it! But the instructor shouted at me so I knew he saw it. But in the end I wasn't failed for that.

@PBbombomlee congrats! Not easy to pass prac 3 on first try!

Ok, my third try at prac 4 tonite. Failed! Plank still inconsistent, out of 5 tries only 2 times manage to stay on. I have the habit of on-off throttling that the instructor particularly didn't like, keep on telling me maintain throttle, use rear brake...hiaz, easier said than done...but he pitied me and gave me a chop for e-brake, ask me repeat again.

I couldn't get through fig 8 w/o on-off throttle as well. That certainly slowed my timing. Anyone also has same predicament? Any seniors whom been through and overcame this bad habit?

For figure 8, go through the figure 8 slowly using the correct technique. Look far, constant throttle and keep your foot constantly on the rear brake (to increase speed, increase or decrease pressure only - don't release it completely). While trying to master the correct form, forget about timing, and focus on maintaining the correct form comfortably. When you get the feel, increase your speed.

For plank, clutch in and roll up the plank. Once up the plank, step rear brake intermittently (or use the constant pressure method if you're comfortable with it). Look at the end of the plank if you're not comfortable with looking far. Your bike tends to go where you look, so keep looking there.

You'll make it bro. All it takes is time and practice ;)

You should take up the @JrCherish offer. Having a huge ass 2A bike and a huge ass 2A rider block traffic at the exits to the courses allows you to focus on your form without having to worry about traffic at the exit, which often trips pple up.

All you need to do to thank him is to buy him kopi after that.

Thnx bro! Will keep in mind the above. Seems like almost a lot of stations also require us to look far, including e-brake?

Btw, I can't go for this Saturday 1st session so had free up a slot. Do go grab if you are taking prac 4!

Plank, you kill me.

Haha. Plank is killer? If you never skid @ e brake.. u won't say e brake is killer.
