Stealing of motorcycle cover sheet....is this common?

Today my bike covering sheet kenna stolen in the open carpark at Keppel distripark. I am surprised that there are people who would want to steal this item. Is this becoming something more noticeable in recent years or all along like dat?

 

Guess I will have to padlock the cover sheet from now on and also intend to stencil my bike's license number on the sheet. Wonder if that will help. Anyone care to share their experience and tips?

Sometimes in open carparks, my cover sheet blown away by strong wind to some corner of the carpark. Lol. Idk about your carpark ah. I thought my sheet kena stolen..

Yeah, I did search around but cannot find. Anyway, went to buy another from Ah Boy and his staff also commented such theft very common. Just padlock loh.

Mine kena stolen too. I did spray my number plate BIG BIG (from top to btm) on it. Think the thief can only flip inside out to use it.

Luckily for me, my house's multi-storey carpark is still quite safe.....cover it once without locking and went overseas come back still fine.

 

Yeah, look's like security in Singapore is not so good nowadays.....and the hassle of making a report like this is and the unlikelihood that the police will do anything is what encourages these thieves because they know they can get away with it. No wonder now everywhere also got CCTV cameras, sigh.

These people don't see far that's why they are fated to be petty thieves.

 

First they steal from others then they end up stealing from themselves. They steal from themselves the benefits of honesty and hardwork. Why be honest and work hard when you can get away with stealing from the boss (eat snake), the customers (overcharge), the suppliers (report spoiled goods when they damage it) and so on. Problem is they think they smart and others are stupid when it is the other way around....so don't get promoted, get fired, lose business and so on. We are all creatures of habits.....that's why these people end up stealing a good life from themselves. Haha, so go let these people go ahead and steal lor.....stupidity goes around.

Dun b despaired... Whoever dat steals from others will get e retribution.. If not now, then later bt sure kena 1... I've stopped blaming e police coz at e end of e day they r oso normal human being like everyone else... Juz dat whether they really wrk to earn an honest living, dat they have to touch their heart... There are people who are kleptomaniac, whenever there is an opportunity, they will steal. I have a friend like these, just don't keep anything out of sight around him, its possible they steal, store it somewhere else, claim they didn't see, show you their bag and pockets...only to retrieve it later.

you'd be lucky if the cat didn'T pee on your cover. Me, not so lucky cos many times got peed! Useless to wash no matter how many times cos the smell will still linger and attract the cats.

 

As for thefts, guess our best bet is to lock up our covers.... lots of them lowlifes goin ard doin petty thefts!

 

Feel like wrapping them up with the bike cover and locking to the pipings sia! Keekeekee
