well, frontline officers put u at big risk and consider about the amount of worries u gotta put on your love ones.

-and if u arrest ppl for drug related offence, they will know who you are...prepare for the risk. Of cos normally those arrested will be in jail for long long time. Still, the thrill is there, no doubt, but ur family will be worried bout u.

Good luck in ur new career pursue.

true here...1 of my neighbours is a CID...his bike Burnt down 3 times... -_-

hello

first of all, let me tell u about myself.

in exactly 1 month, i got selected and went for interview for both ICA and CNB.

likewise, both offered me a job and usually i'm not this indecisive.

my heart goes to CNB because to me, this is a very exciting job but also very dangerous job.

so my brain tells me to take up ICA because it is a safer and more regiment kind of job.

I am a female and I have concluded that the reason why CNB selected me was because of my language skills since they asked me about it during the interview.

what would u do if u were me?

Yeap just to add on, I initially also applied to CNB.

It is a separate entity from SPF, meaning after you pass out from PA, its civilian dress, no need uniform.

There are 2 interview and also got intelligence test.

The second interview is panel which was rather intimidating, they have at mine, 7 interviewers, 1 from each branch (Ops, Admin, Intel and Support or something along these lines) HR, Psychologist, and 1 more forget what. Which was quite interesting.

The IQ test is before the 2nd interview where if you pass then you get 2nd, if not try again.

I didn't pursue this career because of advice from one of their staff advising me to get further education first if not rank will be stagnant, I had 5 O's and PHD (Poly halfway dropout), he mentioned in CNB sometimes shift sometimes 9-5, very irregular quite hard to study too, so don't risk it.

They will also explain to you clearly that the job can get dangerous at times because unlike other branches, more than a few grams of white powder is hanging, the suspects will fight to the death literally.

"Wolves and sheep will live together in peace, and leopards will lie down with young goats, calves and lion cubs will feed together, and little children will take care of them. Cows and bears will eat together, and their calves and cubs will lie down in peace." Isaiah 11:6-8
