Does anybody where I can get a tyre inflator kit as shown below? It uses small CO2 cartridges (2 cartridges should inflate a bike tyre). Nice and compact to store under the seat in case of an emergency!

bicycle shop. and i can bet with you, 2 canister is not enough to pump up a tyre.

because it already needs 2 to pump up a bicycle tyre measuring 26 x 2.1, and it's not to high pressure, only to about 30+ PSI.

at most i think 2 canister, will just blow the tyre to have some shape, that's all.

They come in different sizes:

small 12-16 gram cartridges

large 45 gram cartridges.

The one shown here is the large one.

The manufactures states

Monster Air Chuck 5/8" Threaded

Top of the line, all metal construction mini CO2 inflator. Fastest of our instant inflation pumps, instant push to connect to for Schrader valves, automatic valve detection. Instant inflation using Genuine Innovations push to inflate technology. Super easy super fast, designed and built especially for the street motorcycle rider. Uses large 5/8" threaded 45-gram CO2 cylinders. Easily inflates large street bike tyres.

warning though, per charge is quite costly. and if you got shaky hands and didn't connect it properly, you risk wasting 1 canister and numbing your hands in the process as well.

co2 gas will leak much faster as compared to normal air from the air pump. so do remember to pump up at your regular pump AFTER you got your tyre up with the co2 canister.

it's good only for a temporary solution, not long term.

Thanks for the advice. A temporary solution is all I need.

A puncture in Singapore can be annoying, but help is usually not too far away. On the other hand, you sometimes hear of cases where riders get stuck with a puncture in the middle of nowhere in Malaysia. They then have to either leave the bike (horror!) or have it towed to get the tyre fixed (can be expensive and very troublesome). I don't have a lot of storage space on my bike, and that is why I want something small. With a tyre repair kit and an inflator, I should be able to get the bike to somewhere where the tyre can be replaced or fixed more permanently.

I searched the web. The manufacturer is Genuine Innovations. Their local agent only stocks the smaller model for bicycles. Atvpartsdepot.com sells a complete kit at US$29.99 + shipping (much cheaper than the manufacturer). They do ship internationally, and will get back to me with a quote.

hmmm... co2 canister can't be shipped by air, they got to be shipped by sea mail. so it's gonna take a very long time.

my advice, go to some bike shops, get the kit and a couple more canisters to make up for 1 big canister.

just wondering do you need any help looking around for the bikeshops? just let me know if i could help.
