Need reviews of this bike urgently...Any bro riding this can tell me the pros & cons? Also, anyone know the market price for it now?Thx a million...

The bike is of Korea made thus there is a degree of quality built-on it. Fuel consumption is quite good as compare with most 2B bike. If you are one who go for performance, I would say it is one of the best in 125cc category but no up to comparison with Phantom 150/200. If you can get it within the price range of $800 - $1.5K, it will be a good buy and last you thru your 2B yr.

fuel consumption is good... very good, if you're travelling at 80kmh all the time... up your speed a little to 90, u can hear the engine screaming and fuel can see disappearing! i'll advise, since i've been riding the turd for about a year, not to get it if you're looking for speed and pick-up because it's heavy with a small engine.

on a brighter note, i think it looks better to a phantom.. bigger signal lights, bigger rear light cover, wider handlebars and 2 very short and fat pipes.. pipes look funny la i have to admit and the one of the pipes is always hotter than the other one... :giddy: smoke also 1 got more smoke than the other one.. :giddy:

It's your damn bike, wash it yourself! You rinse your own mouth after you eat, don't you?

DNA, did you purchase the second hand Magma from the authorised dealer or from the open market? If from the dealers, how much more do you think you would have paid?

Try bringing the bike to the dealer Choong Kok at Shun Li Industrial for a full check up. If you over drag at 2nd gear, the bike will of course vibrate as it is only 125cc thus can't achieve high speed at 2nd gear as compared with phantom. At the price you got it..it hard to tell if you have got it at a good bargain unless we know wat plate the bike is having. Accessory parts wise, there is a lots of things you can add on.. see attached of my Daystar on the mods i did.

BTW marvelicious, at the price of $1800, I doubt he got the bike from the dealer.

Cheers

road tax 100 ??( 1 year)

trsf fee 50 ?? (forgot)

admin fee is a balancing fig as i recall ttl paying ard $1127 ($1150 is a rounded figure)

told the uncle to change the basics;

The only problem of this bike is exhaust pipe corrosion from internally, To solve this problem make sure the drain hole of the pipe never chock and pour some 4t into pipe every one or 2 week.

Just passed my 2B last week and bought a FP**** Daelim Magma this monday, which is yellow in color. I pay $800. for it. then I send it back to CKA for servicing yesterday and been told that, the Chain and sprocket have to change. and one of the fork is leaking it will cost around $200.- to repair all of the above problems.

After the servicing I went home and check though the Yellow pages, and got

quote of $100.- to repair of the above problems, from one of the workshop in Defu lane. after the repair done. the bike seem more stable, can cruis at 90km on ECP without problem.

from this case, I figer out servicing in CKA is fine, but come to repair cost you have to pay extra.

Posted

forgot to mention. the fat saleman in CKA is a bit too much. if your bike was not buying from him, he will tell you, your bike is bad, here no good and there no good untill you feel sad. then tell you if you buying from him you will get a brand new like bike. (have to pay $1.5 to 2k more) but the service technician is friendy and good in CKA, he will explain to you what is wrong and why and when to replace the parts.

hi...pardon me if i'm wrong, frm wat i know...gd chains and sprockets can easily cost u ard 140. as for leaking fork...most prob gotto change seal cap and perhaps change fork oil. and adding labour charge...it should be ard 200.

I have already change the sprocket + chain and repair the fork for just $100.- yesterday. just shop around before making any commitment. you may save some money.

yes very cheap, but they will tell you a lot of bad thing about your bike

( I think most of the workshop are doing the same), just ask them to do

what you want them to do, you may try to call them at 62825931

they are located in Defu lane 10.

my bro-in-law is letting his company bike a daelim vt125 ( if not wrong) very cheaply. bike is now at sanfu. need abit of repairs done to it. was quoted by asan at sanfu that it will cost about $90. (talked to him over phone). those interested can call/sms me @ 96926210. letting go less than $800. from my viewing it, i can only see that the tank is abit dented. fr plate and if not mistaken still got about 3 yrs to go til coe expires. transfer fee is about $57 (my b-i-l) told me. bike is good to go. asan already did servicing to the bike.

if i have to explain, you wouldn't understand...

The price is even cheaper than what Lab have to offer for a D.I.D brand chain and sprocket. Now I'm really curious at the brand you have gotten.

That what a saleman is for isn't it? Ok just kidding and no offence! :cheeky: in my opinion, that guy don't really know as much as the mechanics there on bike but it is true that the used bike you get from there would be as good as new so, I would say just take it easy with his words.

Thanks nights, after the replacment of the sprocket and chain, one of my friend has told me the chain I'm using is a good one even which is not O-ring.( which is golden in color)

I'm now using 15teeth and 42 teeth of sprocket. engine scream only after 95km.

so far so good. fuel burn around 33lm/L for my first tank. I think its not too bad for an 7.5 years old bike.
