Join our Lks to find out lor . Some riders oso belong to sub fazer clubs like the CBC or "change battery club" , thumbs club , change frame club ,etc . Look up past posts n u will find out . N i smell a burnt magnetic coil n a change of alternator coming soon , following analysis form guys at my workshop.

 

N , heard tat batt should be charged standing up as recommended by my workshop guys , ours is positioned lying down on the bike . Maybe tats part of a problem not justified or solved yet .

 

Anyway , 1098 is now out of the question due to thumbs down from my other half as there is no pillion option . Time to retire to the 600cc route . :cry:

The puig's nice, comes in two version for the gen 2 fz1; racing screen and touring screen. The racing one is a double bubble screen, about 1.5" taller than stock. The touring one is non-bubble but taller and wider, think abt 3" taller than stock In terms of wind protection, definitely the touring one is better. I still have problems hiding from the wind when I have my tankbag on and I'm not very tall. Regardless, both of them looks good. Comes in smoke, darksmoke and black. Get them at Regina.

Maybe tyre pressure or tyre uneven wear.

Water leaked thru fuel cap. A few "lucky" fellows have experienced it.

EO - $21 to $28 per liter

plugs - $18 to $20 per plug(iridium)

 

main things, erm.. mebbe check ur user manual? too many to list..

i think you need to check your steering cone or the bearings first.

Then check your wheel alignment.

 

I have tried riding even at 120km/hr handsfree, the bike is still going straight all the way. Very stable. :thumb:

Slow down abit, smell the air and enjoy the scenery.

 

Caught the touring bug once again!

fundementals? erm.. same as any class 2 bike with exception of the BMW's n shaft driven bikes... eo, filters, plugs, lubricants, drive assembly, brakes etc.etc..

 

fazer's are generally realiable with one or two flaws (like any other bike) but u shud realise its a sports tourer so its not as fast as the sportbikes.

 

the most important thing is..

 

buy less, ride more

complain less, ride more

worry less, ride more

I think the problems mostly affect 06 fazers .

I believe u r currently riding an S4 , so basically , its almost the same maintenance except tat the tyres , tax n insurance more ex . Mileage range from 15-17km/l , depending on how u use ur right hand . :cheeky:

 

Most fazer riders were former riders of the super 4 too .

Everyone seems to be in the buying mood lately...

Where you all get your money man....

I want to pump petrol also have to think twice these days. Should dilute the petrol with water to get better consumption.

Anyways Munky, i'm interested in the K&N filter. One question though. The renewal oil to wash and reuse the filter... is it ex? 1 of those kits can use for how many washes / reoils?

Ya bro..check steering cone dulu.sampai its due to that.And damper not cheap for fz6. Price range $500 to $800.
