BT021 is bery slippery on wet road........

 

haven't try 021 before, but its brother 020 tends to get slippery after a while. When it's still new, like 2-3 months old, its pretty alright.

 

I'm using DC3 now and loving it. Very very grippy, when i do play some corners, the side of the tires actually tears, like those race track tires. Yet the centre part is made of harder compound, ensuring good mileage.

Pilot rd2 is a very good tyre . Prince range should be arnd $400 - $450 . Anyway , its performance n grip is very good , which oso highlight the pt tat the gen2 fz1 has a low ground clearance as i managed to scuff 3 shoes during my rides. 1st time when the tip of my shoe met the ground , i almost panic .

 

Its mid corner stabilty coupled wif a good suspension setting should make a ride enjoyable .

Well....

I did my PR2 120/180 Front Back for my Fazer 600 at HKL for $420. He gave me a free L valve too! Proceed to the unit with the Dynorun as he has 3 units at bukit merah and look for Ah Bee. Used to be the old unity till HKL bought over. I must say I was very pleased with the service that the mechanic ah seng provided me. He took meticulous effort in changing and balancing the tyres for me. Contrary to other customer's experience in the past, I'd say Ah Seng has a great service attitude and knowledge and I'll go there for my major servicing from now on. I wouldn't send it to the other 2 units under the name HKL though.

Just look for Benny aka Ah Bee and ask for the mechanic ah seng to do the service and you'd be fine. I'd rather wait for abit to get a guy who does a proper job.

bros,i was riding last night and got stuck in a jam along the PIE,had to drag 1st and 2nd gear for a period of time,when i was out of the jam,noticed my coolant light flashing and the temp display is 125 degrees,since im still running in my bike,will it affect anything? i'm aware of the "try not to hit above 5rpm rule,change gear frequently rule" during running in but what bout this temperature issue? will anything be affected?

- fyi, i ever saw a 'blackbird', looked like new & tot was new.

- asked for e price then OMG...

- e mechanic told mi, dun take 'it', its a re-conditioned bike. Meaning, claimed insurance. He even showed mi e speedometer, e mileage was 000000.

- have e clearer look, e main frame had been replaced b4.

- Downpayment $2k

- Loan amount = $16K - $2K = $14K

- Interest profitable by motortiam for 4yrs loan @4.5%pa for new bike

125 is damn high....should have ridden faster....the 5rpm rule hm not sure who created it..read the yamaha manual page 5-3

Check your fan fuse... normally 103 is the limit for me...

After aiming and eyeing for weeks,finally got my used FZ6S S2 today at Bike Production. Dont mind I share my joy here.

 

Date of registration: End of Jan 2008

Outlook: Very good original paintwork

Keys : 1 red and 2 black

Accessories :

a) Leo Vinci Pipes (street legal with LTA cert, Sound great!!!!)

c) HID bulbs (nice white lights,got a unit attached hidden inside the right fairing,duno for what???)

f) DNA air filter(Izzt like KNN re-useable?)

I managed to speak to the ex owner who is a bike mechanic too,damn shiok to hear that BP took in his bike for $12K, I bought it for $12.5K.... Thumbs up for Bike Production......live up to it name,cant imagine they only earn $500 for the deal,no 'fubol' or admin fee,very transparent........

Pros : Good riding posture/comfort riding(seem even better than my Project big 1),fierce outlook,great sound from the aftermarket pipes & great mainstands

 

Cons: Seat level high(I stands 176cm,slight tip toes on both feets down),the side mirrors will wobble bit when accelerate,under the seat minimal room(no where compare to my PB1!!!)original windshield dont shield much wind away from rider when 130km/h above

 

Overall, great bike........tot of sleeping with her tonight......

Hi N_Rider, if you're looking for windshield with good protection above 130km/h, you can consider the stock ones from Hong Leong or aftermarket ones from Motorworld for eg. HL one comes at $280, which is what i'm using. No vibes at 200km/h. Aftermarket at Motorworld comes at half price. But installation at ur own risk. The L shaped plastic hook at the bottom of ur windshield breaks easily.

 

Also, check if your mirrors have the rubber damper where it connects to the bike frame. Mine was missing and i bought them from the distributors for a couple bucks. They help a little, but FZ6 generallly have mirror vibes in excess of 130 or 150. In any case, you don't really need to check the rear so much at those speeds eh? Have fun with ur new ride

Hm.as for the virbation,I mean even at low speed.......maybe i got the habit of kicking to higher gear and turn the throttle and it cause the virbation.Will try to stay within gear speed and throttle c doew it improvement.
