OK seriously. You're probably gonna take it to JB or 2nd link for a spin from time to time. I'd rather take the FZ1S, with the head fairing. Gives you some measure of wind protection.

 

 

From an aesthetic viewpoint, it's subjective. Some say the Naked is more fierce, but personally I prefer bikes with head fairings as I'm a sportsbike person. Besides, twin headlights are always better than one

 

Errrrr, feel S4 not enough power leh, when pillion uphill must wack a lot just to catch cars .......BTW, heard Gen2 yr 06 bike got some small problem on the FI, is it very noticable?

Are you refering to the "snatching" throttle issue? If so, it still happens on 08 models, although not as much. Fixable via using Ivan's FCE.

okay let a gen1 owner verify the claim..

 

gen1 full tank can do 290 km before reserve light up, top speed around 270km/h on a full stock engine....i have no time to look at the speedo properly at that speed cause i am more worried about holding on to my dear life and looking at blur images for potential danger.

efi is efi....

vtec is a stupid ting aka performance boosting technology tat the Jap(Honda) throw to us to play. (there is better technology in japnese)

 

efi is eletronic fuel injection ....

most of the new models nw use efi liao regards of makes aka brands .....

so u can wash & syscronise the throttle body like carbs at motortiams but cannot tune.....

 

to tune must use power commander.....

Now i get it all clear le. fuel injection carbs is also a silver metal block thing tat can be seen and taken out to wash same as super4 .

mileage 290km b4 reserve light ...

kinda fuel consuming for a 21L tank....

any idea aft light blinks up hw much res left as in mileage or litres...?

any idea abt the price of a OEM oil filter...?

oso for gen1 do u guys usually use oem or aft market brands like hi flo etc....

stock speedo. i clock it when gen1 is still new, 4 years back,

gps speed clock is 253km/hr

Hi fazerians,

I'm close to getting a new fazer 600 and would like to be clear about a few issues.

 

Was at Looi's yesterday and was quoted 17k for the 2009 fazer 600. The uncle said that the price is going up because of the exchange rate. Is this Looi's usual pricing or is it really the exchange rate making the price higher?

 

And I would like to check if fixing on the helmet box(any brand) on a fazer 600 require any drilling on the bodywork or is it a clean fix on? I dun want nasty surprises if I leave it to the motordiam to include fixing of box onto a fazer that i bought from them.

98-01 R1 exhaust can fit carb fazer.

but yr main stand right side rubber will touch e mid pipe, so need to weld a bracket.

 

Oh.... this is wat u mean... i though can fit the underseat...

haha... i am using R1 exhaust also... but the mid pipe have to go sengkang and mod... the angle is diff... if just fit on like that can la... but the pillion footrest have to remove and the exhaust will become SUPER highmount...

unless u tell them u dun wan rack but u wan top box to be fix?

im sure there will be a rack for yr topbox.

ok, put down downpayment for a 2008 FZ6s liao. May I know where is a good place to fix a top box? Is the FZ6s rack easily available at shops? That will be the immediate impt thing I need.

for those who do not know, bike speedo is off by 1-20%. the error range goes as the speed increase.

GPS speedo is the most accurate

SKMW engine guard aka crash bar quote was rather steep but it the quality & lifetime warranty ....

mine have the lower fairing liao....

but i seen 1 at bike pro for sales wif lower fairing & frame slider ...

it doesn't serve a lot of purpose if the bike drop etc etc....

aux light sound gd but as usual it illegal in spore if u on it lah....

 

btw mates....

wif regards to the orginal radiator guard wich come stock ...

isit more than gd enuf to protect the radiator or i should invest in sum after market radiator guard...?

I think that price is steep, i checked few shops on fz6 just bf CNY and was quated around 15k OTR

any freebies that come with the bike? aftermarket exhaust maybe?
