Hi I just go change EO for my FZ6 yesterday, gear feels more smooth but now aft riding got some burning smell (Kind of smell of burn plastic like that) come out, not so strong but bf oil change don't have leh, any bro got idea on this? Is that oil spill out on pipe or some plastic loss to look out

I have never done valves clearance to any of my bikes owned before...so u might want to ask kenny or moka..

Past rides are already history....

i koe... when they pour out the current E.O some of it got stain onto yr exhuast, tat provides the smell.

LEAF departure is B`cos of WIND pursit or TREE didn't ask her to stay?

Ah Meng deals with all kinds of bike but he personally loves big bikes.He ever de-restricted my fren's S4 before and the bike rocks!Give it a try lah.. His shop basically sells real basic accessories like low end gloves,grips,raincoats etc but it's his knowledge & good service that I'm after.His shop is opened daily 9am-9pm.If you guys wanna drop by or do some stuff to your bike,I'm free this Sunday morning and I can bring you guys in...

Sunday morning visit to Ah Meng's(sound like pri school excursion sia).Kindly list down your names and what you wanna do..

I guess the valve clearance check is only subject to individual. Although it was stated to do a check at certain mileage, it is all depend how consciencious each user is & how is the condition on the machine. It is good to do the periodic maintenance check to prolong the machine's life, but it is also depend on how deep each pocket is. If you have read the service manual, there are also other periodic maintenance checks to uphold the good health of the machine.

 

I think there will be charges apart from the valve clearance check services if to make replacement of the valve pads.

The last time I did VC, labour was 200 or 250, I think... Per shim replacement is 2.50

 

Cam chain with all the chain guides cost me about 160 cos did with the VC...

Dude, original filter can get from automachinery for 14 bucks. Get a filter removal for 5 bucks from lab and you save bucks from the 2nd filter onwards...

just curious, what's the FC you guys are getting for gen2 FZ1?

 

Anyone done Cat removal? What's the pricing range normally?

Would like to take out the cat off my FZ1. Need advise.

Did mine at Ah Meng's for RM50.About 30mins job.In Sg,I believe most bikeshop does it but it's only a question of how much.. Correct me if I'm wrong,Gen 2 FZ1N stock exhaust has 2 catalyser.1 in the header and another in the end can isn't it?

Yamaha TZM 150

Suzuki DRZ 400

Honda CB 400

Yamaha FZ 1

Yamaha TDM 900

Triumph Tiger 800

 

Smoother than a twin and more characterful than a four and not forgetting that lovely whistly fruity soundtrack:thumb:
