Should not be the case. You adjust the light focus only, no othr electrical works involved so no implication at all.

 

Check list:

 

1. You adjust the light with light on and no engine running?

i nv turn on engine while adjusting :(

2. Life span of your batt? Life span usually determine the ablity to hold charge.

bike is 2yrs old nv change batt b4.. could tat b the prob? batt old liao?

 

3. Got voltemeter rite? Go ride and see of the batt take in charge and hold.

Ya volt meter onli shown 11v+ abit.. den try to e-start underseat starter keep tiak tiak tiak tiak but engine juz nv crank start :(

 

Tis actually happen once b4 the time during a jam at custom den tow came n they use the car jump start kit to start for mi n it start..

 

Push start the bike with care, dun drop her.

Which gear you were in?

 

Try 2nd and 3rd gear. If got slope even better. when put to crank, any faint sign of lightings on the gauges and panel?

 

Got car to try jump start it?

Minimise all power usage, off your light if can.

Practice make perfect....But since Nothing is perfect, Why practice so hard? by Cowboy Wong....

it not new, it has been there since this thread started..it just that you are new to the acronyms, but you get the hang of it sooner or later...there are more of of these and many who have been hanging around this thread for more than a year will know what it meant..

best is to push down a slope, else you can kick to 2nd gear, clutch in, turn the ignition switch to on, run as fast as you can while pushing your bike and quickly jump onto your bike and throw your clutch, dont need another person to help push while you sit on your bike...it takes a little practice though

how long it will takes?

done at? HKL can?

so, what did you actually requested him (mechanic) to do for you? e.g. i wan this i wan that...

 

i also wan a better settings like yours sia... can save me some monies for fuels...

U might want to...

Off everything 1st.

Then try disconnecting the battery for a while, lets say approximately 5 minutes. Then connect the wires back....

Hahaha... Me will nvr do this stunt... me sure kena slap onto the bike and sleep with the bike on the floor...too fat to jump man.

 

Just run by the side and push then when you got the 'feel' let go your clutch with finger standby to disengage the clutch when the engine is started and the bike starts to surge fwd. Do it with care, if not the bike will drag you and run away then buang and crash. :angel:

 

Dun do it on the 1st gear as it's compression is too strong for many unless run super fast and super confident to control the bike. 2nd & 3rd is good liao.

 

DO IT WITH CARE! If not then tow it. Jump start it with some good samaritians car jump cables.

takes a little practice to get the hang of it...me i didnt do it on the 1st try with a class2 bike, it was on a yamaha LC 125 back in the early 90s...always cant seem to kick start that stewpig bike...after that i have since push start many bikes with this method.

sometimes if luck is on your side, leave it overnight, you maybe able to start your bike tomorrow, thereafter go for a long ride to charge the battery up

possible to "push start" the bike with the bike mounted on main stand? Just a random thought... Suddenly had this idea of spinning the wheel manually with the bike mounted on main stand and throwing clutch to "push start" :angel:

Considering the rear wheel stops spinning quite quickly. Guess only way of the method i mention is to spin the rear wheel with your right leg while standing on the left side of the bike, with your hand clutching in and engaging gear 1.

 

The speed that your leg can spin the rear wheel shouldn't be that much slower than the speed u can pedal the bike alone. Technically this method should work leh. And it should be easier than overcoming 200kg of inertia. If my battery ever dies on me then i try. Don't feel like trying funny things on a machine that isn't broken.

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

Your bike's weight help to 'pull' the cranking torque,esp in lower gearing,'BKL' - Boh Ko Leng (impposible) :angel:.

 

On the 5th & 6th with much lower compression maybe but again lotsa of question marks.... Me ever tot of push and crank by higher gearing before... but hmm...

 

If you can 'track mill' the rear wheel only then either you are spinning super duper fast with a 150kg rim + 30kg tire on the rear to create the inertia weight.... to crank up the pistons with compression within.

If you park on the 3rd floor of an MSCP, then use the down ramp to jump start your bike. Roll down and throw clutch b4 the bottom of the ramp.
