just have to remove the plastic cover , plug and play the LED light fix on the cover again and thats it

bro, i think the user manual will tell you how to remove the cover de... try check that out? btw if i'm not wrong, remove the screw then slide or twist a bit then it would come out liao...

Hi one and all. My 1st entry into naked bikes forum. I've some questions. Perhaps the fazer guys can help me. Plse be as honest as possible, pull no punches.

I'm currently riding a super 4 spec3. A very good bike indeed. But I'm itching to upgrade to ahigher CC. 1 litre will be a dream come true, but I reckon for now I seriuosly considering 600 ~ 750. Fazer6 and Kawa ER6N looks great both technically and in design.

However some of my biking friends said that the F6 is problematic and that kawasakis are not so reliable. Many suggested Honda although most said that the Fazer 1 is great.

I'm sceptical though. Maybe my friends were just being biased or they have heard horror stories about Fazer 6 and kawasakis. Frankly the new totally naked Fazer6 S2 and the xj6 look awesome and so is the ER6N. Hope you guys can throw some light. Appreciate any feedback and thank you in advance.

ex-up valve? mine is acting up on me, i got to get some high temp grease to apply on it, already i have ordered the spring from HL, it has lost it functions.

well.. the pre 05 FZ6's have had it's share of problem but all of those were resolved with the 06 and latter version. The FZ6s2 is a different animal altogether from the original FZ thundercat. For a 600cc bike the FZ6 has great handling, respectable speed and wonderful fuel comsumption. If you want more info, i suggest you join these guys for the tues LKS or join the malay fazer riders for the Fri LKS (to be continued after sepang) and then u can hear from current and previous owners.

 

As for the ER6N, Kawa has one of the most well built and powerful engines around. The only reason it's not popular here is because of the availability of parts...which for legal reasons... should not be said here. If you look at our neigbouring malaysia, you find Kawa has quite a large following.

 

Like our #1 friendly guy sez below..all bikes have pros n cons.. all bike have supporters and nay sayers.. its an individual choice:thumb:

It's the Exup Valve. Mine same prob.

Just get the whole set change and it'll be fine.

Anyways, Yamaha has made it easy for Rossi and Lorenzo to frequent the podiums, I bet Yamaha will also match the MotoGp engineering to the streets.

Any idea what could possibly be the OTR pricing for the new fazer6 and what about spare parts availability?

i think there is some promotion package going on for fz6 at speedway, something like 13.8k.

i been riding yamaha bikes since 1998 and never had any problem with spares. Before this, i was riding kawasaki 750L1 and yes, i have lots of problem with spares. There are at least 3 major suppliers of spares for yamaha - Hong Leong (yamaha agent), autocycles and automachinery.
