i am getting about 20km/l.. hope it can get slightly better.. but no complains for now also.. haha..

anyway, when the R meter starts clocking mileage means running on reserve already? how many litres is the fz6 reserve? 3l?

R on the meter indicates bike is on reserve...i forgot the figures for the litres of reserve:faint:

but what I can tell u is that reserve can clock 88.4km till dry.

er go easy on the throttle...

btw if ure still running in should be ok to get that fc.....otherwise normally a stock FZ6 fc can get around 19-24km/l:thumb:

i'm quite easy on the trottle leh. usually change gear ard 3-4k rpm and on sg roads i dun really go above speed limits one. or issit becos i am heavy? ard 90++kg :sian:

meter now is ard 4.4k km, so the first 3k km had been run in by the previous owner liao. or do i need to run in more?

udually u guys change gear at wad rpm one ar?

u need to be young and reckless to become old and wise..... if u survive

around the same, usually around 4k rpm i change gear...

might wanna take note that city riding has lower fc as compared to expressway riding...

my f/c around 22km/l...70% highway, 30% city agak-agak

btw, it's good not to let ur whole tank turn dry b4 u pump la... it's bad the "health"...

go reserve 50km better top up liao... at least... :)

agree:thumb:

usually i change gear at 3.5k to 4k rpm on all gear levels...

sometimes in foul mood or something, change gear at 6k rpm... hahahaha...

i think once my scors comes in, there will be a frequency of changing gear at higher rpm...

Unfortunately, for the FZ1 you have to heavily de-restrict & calibrate the air/fuel ratio in order to tap onto its potential :(..BUT wants you manage to do it :)

As what i had suspected.. i had the very same prob with my previous FZ1N. Think itz a common prob for FZ...

Now must figure out how to wash the bike without getting too much water into the tank..

Damn Unique charged me $140 each coil w/labour..thought it would be much lesser than HL:faint:

Ouh.. You mean $140 x the number of coils??? Woah!! That means HL is much more affordable

FZ1 gen2 Restrictions(in my opinion);-

-airbox intake*

-exhaust/header cat*

-secondary flies*

-cables restrict main frame air inlets*

-exhaust weighs a ton & is choked

-lean air/fuel mixture

-high gearing

-low rearset ground clearance

-EXUP*

-speed display reading out by around -6% of indicated speed(estimated on most bikes)

-bad suspension set-up(definately have to calibrate the preload/rebound/compression to rider's weight/style)*

-FCE required for '06 model

* indicates able to DIY if you know how

..hope all this theory helps someone:)

oic, i din knw that 09'model were e last for fz6. ya under seat exhuast is gd,even as u change after market,u dnt hav to worry it get stolen.

ya if purchase revo,i save on road tax n insurance..

no offense taken bro :) i still doin my maths,im thinkin more of a long term. i hear now wit e yen gone up, revo machine price is quite high too..in e end otr its abt 16K++

thats y more ppl r gettin fz6 instead.. otr cost lesser.. :)

mild n dragonforce - i'm lookin for a naked version..

its been awhile since i last bought a brand new bike, usually wats e freebies or package that come along for a new bike(Hel brake hose, slider). anymore stuff that e shop will give or i have to ask for?

Saw SBK LV pipe on FZ6... very nice conical shape... but stock looks great too. If ya wan REVO, I saw a few sale on the used bike thread.

FZ6 N.... not bad... but my personal view is that FZ1 N looks better.

Freebies? Hmmm usually items are a set of rain coat and helmet... sliders n hose perhaps ya can ask for them? My camp mate got his during the purchase of the bike... very important

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine
