Slipped over the dummy hump when I turned a slight bit to park. Speed is below 10km/h.

Any idea how much to change the gear lever?

 

Just came back from 1k km servicing then this kind of thing happened!

 

 

Sorry to heard such bad incident to happen... heart really pain for you..

If a new OEM gear lever is gonna cost u some money... u might as well consider those aftermarket one..

As for sticker.... u can look for one person SIAOSTER...

need to sell bike/stuffs to garage sales la...

 

 

Bro even u bent it maybe out of shape n affect the ergonomics of ur shifting position le unless u can bend it back nicely. Maybe u could go down to auto machinery to ask for the price of a brand new levers.

 

For the scratches paste some stickers maybe u want to invest in some sliders

 

or perhaps can ask those folks who had change his/her aftermarket rearset to sell u the oem one?

I was stationary waiting red light when he knocked me. He came out of cab and say motor shouldn't stay in centre of lane and blah blah blah. Got lots of withness and he said he agree to pay me for bike repair and we signed an agreement with an auntie as withness.

 

He knocked into my motard damage frame sliders, front and rear axle sliders, marchesini rims, my ohlins shocks, sprocket n chain and all the other carbon fibre litespeed guards, plastic shrouds from France also claim him.

 

Think he sure ask for installment, still thinking wan claim him medical Bo

no sliders? just go to any workshop, ask them take out footrest and bend/hammer the bugger back..

Race fairings are lighter n cheaper. But of course it's not as thick n solid as the oem.

But sister if ur fairings kena scratches means u nv put sliders ah?

 

got slider.. imagine the pillion foot peg tat part holding the exhause gena broked off by the impact.... u say leh.. tats y i say the whole exhaust on the ground when i got up...... basically like a low side like that loh.... i so heart pain leh... gena the tank top plastic, the front fairing.... the brake pedal and handle bar... the balancer y y liao... but damn lucky i forgot to straighten my mirror (with integrated signal light)... if not tat one damn ex loh....

 

i in then to only fix back the rest, the fairing i will leave it first... lata will fix and get race fairing coz i intend to go track with this bike.... lata simi plan let me know i will be dropping by ASPhoon Changi...

 

btw i just reach home nia... gona nap awhile then go get my things done...

Had u made any trip to the police station to report ur case....do so if u have not... and if you got 3 or more days of MC, the police will treat this as an accident traffic offence towards the taxi driver.. and ur statement made at the police station is very important ... hats my past experience with my S4 when I was in the same scenario... just my 2cents advice...

the whole thing came off.... i have no idea wat happened man... lucky although i always listen to music i will know the exhaust sound weird.... n i slowed down........ the whole damn thing on the ground when i got up..... who thing loh.... the mechanic say broke off.... then i suspect the previous mechanics might have contributed to the break off.... the fair is OEM one... heart pain man......... but that one leave til i get a job first then change or repair, lucky just scrapes.... only the pillion foot peg part that is holding the exhaust broke off..... the handle bar n the brake duno y suddenly gone... anyway will go down work shop tmr look see... haiz... money again... when i need it most...............

eh... this time nothing to do with rain weather loh... n is lucky its rain weather thats y i riding slowly coz the tyre wearing off..... haiz...

 

Dats y previously i got mention the build quality of yamaha seems better than suzuki.....i also had to change my handlebar, brembo brake lever, signal lights. Dun bother knocking the rearsets back if really bent, tried before, it will break....your handlebar bent on the left or right, i may have spare? Your bike K8 750 or 1000? I may have other spares...

Check for stress fracture if you can on your pillion mount (to the subframe). I assume the right side is down, so it may be difficult to distinguish what cause which damamge. Likely some mech didn't tighten the bolts, but if the metal broke coz of vibration and stress, then you should go back to Yamaha.

somehow after squeezing i forgot then suddenly i heard a sound so............. good thing i forgot coz i know that damn mirror integrated with signal light can cost more than 300............................
