Get another bike to jump start it. Try push my FZ1 and is really no joke if u push alone. Best jump start and no need to sweat!!! where u stay maybe can come to your place to jump start for u??? service charge of one can of drink apply. hahaha!!!

Ouch. The instrument cluster doesn't even light up?

 

U can try to run start it. Find a flat surface, or you can even try riding it down a MSCP ramp to jump start.

 

Ignition on, Gear 2, clutch in.

Run, throw clutch and rev.

If the engine catches, clutch in and brake

 

Don't forget to put to neutral before you put the stand down.... or you'll curse and swear and restart the whole process!

 

 

Get it to a shop and get the OEM spec battery. Don't bother with other alternative brands. They might not last.

 

If die die cannot start then prepare to tow.

Interesting fine this rainy morning. My battery was drained when the bike didn't start on first crank. Crank a little more and the battery gave up. Didn't hold much charge.

 

Now with the new battery, it starts up very quickly. So the slow starting is really due to a dying battery. Been hunting for replacement, it just couldn't last long enough.

 

btw, the old one is GS Yusa with the same model # YTZ14S as the new 1 I bought. Anyone heard about the GS batteries?

I just went to Motoworld just now and they told me they had stop bringing barsnake. reason given is not so easy to install into the handlebars. Another way to reduce the vibration is to put silicone into the handlebars and it works as well as quote by a former Fz6 rider who did it. But his advise is not easy to push the normal slicone into the bars. Thinking of doing it too to reduce the vibrations.

Oh btw... I was thinking of changing my stock exhaust to a Scorpion unit, but today I saw the Blue Flame website. They look decent and the prices aren't too bad. Any ideas/opinions on this brand? And who stocks this in Singapore?

 

Also, Blue Flame mentions a "Lo Level" and a "Hi Level" series... does anybody know what the difference is? Is it in terms of noise? Power? or something else?

 

I'm not sure abt wat the different on this "Lo/Hi level" but i know so far he dont have any legal exhaust for Fz1.

I asked extreme equipment and informed by them LTA does not approve Blueflame exhaust for FZ1 anymore.

 

per my understanding, so long there isn't any technical changes on the aftermarket exhaust, once approved and keyed into VITAS database, all exhaust regardless of production/lot are considered street legal upon inspection.

 

that is provided all the necessary paperwork are in place when going for inspection..

it was raining heavily during my trip and i had my hp charger plugged into the socket to charge my hp (i use it as gps). heng nothing happened. water definitely got in, cos when i plug out the charger the metal sort of corroded.

u r one lucky dude bro! i never ever dare to use the ciggy socket during rainy days... u never know when it will short circuit your bike and/or blow some fuses...

so r u getting new ones? get awin to go to limbat get it together?

let me know when u will be going ok? i'm in shift mode from tomorrow till 24th... odd days shift on, even days off... but i still get to go back home in the evening during shift on, 8-5 style and the best thing is, i still get my off! such a nice reservist style hor? wahahahaha!

yup... his HIR is real good... i remembered i used it during my last hatyai trip where i set off at 4am + my usual jb trips... it's so damm brightening!

with the usage of projectors i can have proper light throw, y not HID? hehe. see how lah. clearer when on nshw. then if i can get another 2 projectors installed on my bike, 4x HID on bike! blast those cars with 4 HIDs when its not needed! then my bike battery very fast flat also i think. haha.

if there is 1 pipe approved/legal on the road, why other 9 pipes cannot be legal? same model, same part number, same technical drawings..

 

unless paperworks are not complete, OR distributor don't wan to promote the particular branding.
