if there is 1 pipe approved/legal on the road, why other 9 pipes cannot be legal? same model, same part number, same technical drawings..

unless paperworks are not complete, OR distributor don't wan to promote the particular branding.

distributor wouldn't be that stupid not to make extra monie if possible, unless it's impossible as aftermarket exhaust is not cheap in SG...

An update to my situation guys. Thanx superspeed123 bro for really coming down to jump start the the bike in the hot afternoon. (I will treat you something on the next LKS if I can make it). Unfortunately jump start did not work.

So I got the bike towed from my workplace to my MSCP. Then I went to a workshop in Yishun and got a Yuasa but model TTZ146S for $120. They tested the battery and it cannot charge, left with only 2 volts or so. (its a 4 mths old bike). Did not have the time to go to Bikeworkz to get the battery as per superspeed bro's recommendation.

When I fixed the battery, the meter still did not light up after turning the ignition to ON. I checked the fuse, the 50A fuse was blown. Argh. By the time, its too late. I guess I will get down to Automachinery tomorrow to get one.

If the 50A fuse blown, does it mean that my bike shorted or something?

bro, if i'm not wrong, 50A fuse is the main fuse lei, something might be gone wrong to make it really blow...

nevertheless, try getting another 50A fuse to try 1st before you start all those tedious troubleshooting works...

if it blows again, then you can start worrying into the electronics side...

for now, don't worry too much, get a new 50A fuse to replace it, need not from AM, you can get it from Sim Lim Tower...

alternatively, i also have a spare... :)

LTA do not have the facilities/capabilities to do emission testings.. all that they rely on is just a piece of certification to approve and key into VITAS. you own 2 different brands of exhaust and did inspection before. don't tell me you don't know how they do inspection?

got cert and paperwork = approved.

and are you the distributor? perhaps manufacturer support isn't there? hence they dun wan to promote? do you know about all these?

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

Coil dont spoil so easily...yes it is an expansive part to change. But u can be sure that it will cost below $1k. It's $320 to be exact for OEM.

Other than that, there are no major problems for 08 FZ6. Just do normal maintanence like any other class 2 bike...

Normally your bike should have a full set of spare fuses under the seat, around the battery area. I know my '03 FZ1 does - I blew my main fuse when I plugged in my battery the wrong way around :D Just replace with the spare, and buy a new spare later.

And yes, Sim Lim Tower will have, take along your old fuse to be sure you get something identical. Good luck!

you dont have to go to sim lim to get them unless you are passing by or have some other matters at sim lim, petrol kiosk, ntuc, hardware shops, they do sell them..just that sim lim you may get it a little cheaper, but the trip and petrol to go there, a case of penny wise pound foolish

This is interesting, can't find that part number from Yusa. They are usually YT... YB... YI... 12N...

The stock and probably the best I can find so far is YTZ14S. Factory activated maintenance free, so no need to fill up with liquid before use.

Buy a few 50A. If it blows when you start up, then you'll know there's some short.

Yes, there are some spare fuses in the fuse box.
