What are the adverse effects for doing valve clearance late?

 

according to a mech I spoke to at HL, loss of power was it. He told me it's not life threatening.

Hi guys. I'm thinking of buying a new fazer 1. I can either pick 2010 model or 2011 model. Any of u know the difference between the 2? (except the colour difference)

 

I googled alot but cant find any difference between the 2...

Only the colours is different between 2010 and 2011. How much are they sell for 2010 and 2011??? Buying from where???

no adverse effects. throttle response n fc will b better comparing b4 n after. if u can afford it, its good to service the fuel injectors n get the throttle body serviced n synchronized. i've done it n my previous ride n nvr did i regret it. have yet to do it for the fz1.

i've done at tachyon motor. price is ard $300. its good to ask ard b4 deciding. while price is something we compare, worksmanship is another. just choose the one u feel most comfortable.

Firstly, u need to unscrew the two nuts on the shift-rod that goes in between your frame. One nut is to turn clockwise and the other nut is to turn anti-clockwise. Should be size 8 open spanner.Take out the shift-rod. Then 3 allen head screws that is securing your sprocket cover. Should be size 5 allen key. Use WD40 or RP7 with a small paint brush to clean away the old chain lube and dirt.

 

AVOID using WD40 or RP7. Eats up the o-rings. Kerosene works best.

if the valves are misadjusted and are too near the piston, it may eventually hit the pistons, with unpredictable results.

yes thats what I suspected too, but e mech at HL said differently(asked him twice,2 different mechs on a few different occasions, with e same answer). Heard that Me

ng Tong was one of e best so it was a no-brainer to go to him no matter e price.

Ya, there are so many pros out there, it's just up to e individual to decided who to bring their bike too...we r so furtunate to be spoilt for choice here unlike some dudes in europe etc. who have to depend on Ebay etc. and DIY's to service their bike:)

yea... so far i think we only know there is a change in color scheme but nothing about the specs within...

perhaps u will find it available in wiki or google soon or early next year...

 

wooo... fz1 is getting more & more expensive!
