hhmm....mayb i'll ask again but i don't like to come down to the shop where i bought the bike....really sian la to see my ex-bike there.....anyways, they told me once when i inquire it but somehow not very convincing la....i was thinking engine ice as the only solution which i used for all my bikes.

n the eo oso not convincing as well....i was thinking got such eo meh? i thot eo only works optimumly at a certain temperature. anyways, wat eo usually u use? heard anybody chgd rad hose to samco?

if u happen to be there then ask lo... or wait till ur ex-bike is sold le, then u go and ask... either way... :)

for EO, i only heard of the viscosity level & weight for different usage e.g street, track, etc... i use maxima 15W50 EO and jus sticking to that for every change... i try not to mix EOs...

yup... heard of samco radiator hoses... generally it's made of silicon, correct me if i'm wrong... it actually will lower the temperature down but a bit but it's way too expensive compared to stock hoses... for me, i rather do the two things i mentioned earlier, three things in fact :D, then to change the hoses...

Ok, no. 1 or 2 i will try to do but for 3 i've been doing it. Heheh....

Hmm...d shop where i got d bike from told me that there is this thermostat that we can chg n this will kick off d fan at a lower temp. But again, i agree to what u said. Anyways, ever heard that there is an engine oil that can make your engine run a bit cooler? Belray if i'm not wrong...

i think the mech dunno wat is a thermostat. depending on the type of thermostat used, some open at 70 degrees, some at 80 degrees. so when u start a cold engine, thermostat is closed n engine heat up, coolant circulate within the engine itself so that the engine can heat up to its required running temp in the shortest time. upon reaching 80 degree for example, thermostat open n allow the rest of the coolant to circulate to cool the engine. if i'm not wrong, the thermostat blocks out the portion to the radiator where coolant cools by air when riding. so in short, the thermostat mentioned will not trigger the fan at lower temp. even if the thermostat is fully open, the engine will take a longer time to heat up. thats all. the only way to trigger the fan is either install a switch to switch on manually, or tamper with the sensor that triggers the cut in n cut out of the fan.

engine oil running cooler? not that i heard of. engine oil is just engine oil. its just an agent being circulated thru the engine n have no cooling properties.

bro, EO can mix one. no issue. just think of this. u change new engine oil, but u still mix with the old n dirty oil. so its still slightly dirty after a few more rides. i recommend using oil of grading W40. like maxima 10W40. when riding, not so heavy. might help in ur fc. runs alot smoother. the 15W50, i use, buang! too thick! :(

i agree with you bro... yes i know can mix... but i'm those picky type la... i'll try as much as possible not to mix... else i'll have those weird feelings... anyway, it's just me la... wahahahaha! :D

yes, understand 10W40 EOs are lighter and slighter better in fc... i've tried it before on my previous fz6 and also 15W50 on it, i feel no diff... again, it's just me... hehehehe! :D anyway, i'm okay with 10W40 or 15W50 la... my bike is always in full load one... that day i went riding via east coastal of malaysia with only my top box, i feel kinda uncomfortable instead... wahahahaha! :D

yah lah... up to individual actually. the salesman can say all they one but the one buying is not convinced, there's nothing the salesman can do. :D

mayb for a 1000 no diff. for smaller bikes, due to higher rev range, the thicker, the more jia lat it is. mayb the fz1 using 15w50 is ok for local ba. but then, its just me. hehe... will choose a W40 oil no matter wat.

Hi! Bros,

Anyone try the OWS engine treatment? Thinking to do it once hit 10K.

I also wanna change the engine oil. Original not that good.

If you rev. the bike and right foot peg and handle can feel stronger vibration, is it norm?

Just don't feel the bike smooth, engine oil 2k already dark colour.

Please advise... Will change to Denso Iridium spark plugs once hit 10K.

Bro Charles, what else advise to change? Air filter already BMC.

i tried it (ows engine treatment) at 1k mileage when i'm changing over to fully sync maxima 15w50 EO from mineral oil... to me, i dun feel any diff... hahahaha... anyway, to understand more details on its usage, better to ask the promoter or professional... i had forgotten what it is for already... lol...

for vibrations, no comments... i dun have such vibrations... :)

for EO color, mine will change to dark color even around 1-1.5k of mileage but from my understanding, as long as the EO viscosity stays and you feel smooth when changing gears, you should be fine to be able to last you till 5k or more...

actually, you shouldn't ask me what to change lei... till now, my bike 4 months old, around 14k of mileage, i changed pretty much things le lei... depending what are you looking at or what perspective you would like, i can try to share with you what i had done to my bike but mine isn't the best la... trust me... as mentioned earlier, do/stick to what you like/prefer... dun let people comment then you follow suit... cheers!

that is very unusual because the drop is way too much... could it be you start your bike when it's parked slanting or you or someone had accidentally/intentionally reset the trip meter earlier? i would suggest you go for a second or even the third tank to monitor it... ok? :)
