still no go. really confused now. Not the carbs, not the valves, not the clutch plates, not the CDI... hopefully Hong Leong will know what to do when i send it down in 2 weeks time.

was slightly amused when the mech suggested that i change to a smaller rear sprocket. standard sized sprocket has difficulty going over Gear6 RPM8, and want to change to something smaller? very cute, want to sell me barang barang like that?

If anyone could give me any ideas or leads on what might be the problem, could you tell me? I am really confused and out of ideas.

You're very sure that the mechanic have checked out your pistons and rings and found no blow-by?

How about lower gears? Eg 1 and 2. Can you exceed 8000 rpm?

No worries bro, remember to call me in May:)

sure.. it probably will be a rapid week after week track session for me during may, depending on my schedule.

i dont know about blowby, i used my fingers to feel the cylinder walls when the piston went down. smooth.

lower gears can exceed 8k rpm . gear 5 can hit a little over 9k rpm.

I am going to backtrack to the fuel delivery system and take a good look at the fuel filter and pump.

I resprayed to even closer colour match to the original paint colour with Replica Spray Painting at 118 Kallang Avenue. $160 with 2 scoops & belly pan. Very satisfied with the paint job done.

I remember Bikeworkz is selling FZ1 handlebar for $ 60 to $70. But why do u all want to change your handlebar from FZ6 to FZ1 ?? I changed from FZ1 to FZ6 handlebar. Better, less pain on shoulder and wrist after long ride..

i know overseas pple changed from fz6 to fz1 bars cos of the posture.. the fz6 probably feel too close to them, at the same time using fz1 bars offer a more aggressive look.
