I think 260km is just 10km difference in comparision with 270km. That 10km of fuel could have been wasted off during your engine is idling. Everybody riding style, warming-up the bike and waiting in traffic time are different. So maybe there aint anything to worry about

agree on wat u say.. :thumb: different ppl ride differently :cheeky: i top right up to the brim during my last petrol topup n now 310km still have reach reserve..

This is what I got from the web:

[bMC air filters (used by Ferrari F1) are made of cotton and aluminum treated with epossidic resin. These filters are different from original ones, first of all because using a cleaning kit they can be restored, then because they let flow an 40% of air more than the original ones. Race version lets flow an 15% of air more than the BMC "normal" version: for this reason use it only on truck and/or together with engine tuning as carburetor kit or ECU kit. Sometimes they could be more expensive than the original ones, but the initial cost will be optimized by their unlimited lifetime. FAQ: the BMC filter is a racing filter? Yes the "normal" version is a racing filter. FAQ: Can I use Race version on street? Yes but we recommend to use it only with a tuned engine or with modified air/fuel ratio. FAQ: While install a filter do I have to change or modify something on my bike? No, these filters can only get a higher performance to your bike.]

I've checked the BMC web & they do have air filter for FZ6S & FZS1000.

Now considering whether to get the BMC Racing type as I wont be tuning my engine. Cause Too much air, engine running lean, will cause engine to overheat easily & backfire as well. Personally find that our yamaha bike get heated up easily as well. Haizz....

seem like u still cant make up ur mind on air filter.. :cheeky:

Price should be around 15.3k to 16k that should sound reasonable. I believe most of us got it around that price with other accessories which might includes IU & Bracket. Try Bike Production bah.

Regarding the price of 05 & 06 model, the price wont be much of a difference as for my case(comparing 04 to 05), they said the price is the same as it's only the colour difference.

bro.... just wan to confirm the price u've given is Fazer6 (with cowling) not FZ6 (without cowling right?

coz my bike shop call me and ask me abt my decision and i made a lot of noise abt the price (i did not reveal abt bike production), then they say they will check and call me again!

Hi MC ,

i tot the difference between FZ6 S & N Model is the design with the former

with the sports look and the latter with the muscle bike look ( with single headlamp ?) The cowling is optional rite for both models ?

negative.. the front cowling for the FZ6S cant be fix on the FZ6N.. FZ6N is the naked version of the FZ6S.. more street-looking :cheeky:

Yes that is the original belly pan from yamaha....order from HL is around $600++ but got it from Loois motor at $450. Old stock...looi motor has only 2 more avail in his showroom.

Can also get the non-original from motorworld at around 200++, looks the same except it doesnt comes with the heat shield and rougher finish, hope this helps.

wanna ride with madness?

as for rider like us we wont feel any different what ever after market filter we use. as for some filter we need to tune the bike to get the best out of it.we cannot have to much air in combustion, that will cause the engine to run lean and hot...and too much fuel it will cause carbonization, lazy power respond or might get back fire and wast of fuel...

as for me i will choose the cheapest after market filter than have the bike properly tune or use back the stock filter so i can have good sleep at night... :goodluck:
