So far after reading up a few comments & review from others, seems like different ppl prefer different brand and each brand have ppl saying that they proven it's good or bad. Maybe K&N reputation has been around for quite sometime, therefore I get to see more bad comments about K&N air filters.

 

In general, I'll just have to see which I prefer & the construction of the air filter which seems different, according to their respective website. Guess I'm more into trying out the BMC Racing air filter & see how "Racing" it can perform

Actually my full tank mileage also around the same as yours. About 270-290km for main tank(exclusive reserve). My TPS had went wild for 3-4 time, about 2 mths ago and without doing anything to it, my TPS dont come & bother me liao which it seems to return to normal liao.

hi guys....i tried not to be lazy, read from page 1-30 then cannot tahan, skipped to 265 to yesterday's latest page....eyes blur blur areadi someone must have asked these questions, but din mind me asking again?

 

wanted to get a new 05 fazer06 and was quoted 16300 on the road age 30 now? do you think it's a fair price? I've seen thread on the prices and it seems like it's on the high side.

 

also read that belly pan (must have) is abt 600+, u guys are kidding aren't u?

 

would appriciate if can help out on the price and recommend which bike shop that give reasonably good price. thank u thank u thank u!

hmm listern to u is the best cause u'll go into detial 1st before getting anything, but is there any for our bike, BMC racing?

Just the lower cowl shd be much cheaper.

bro, urs similar to mine leh. but my tps havent went wild on me yet, it's jus weird for me to hit 260plus only n i hit reserve once..so abit concern n started monitorin

Regarding the colour scheme , i have not read much into this.

 

I would suppose the dealers would try to offload the '05 model and shd

be cheaper ... logically speaking.

i think the 04 and 05 colors schemes are better for fz6, the 06 ones had a black frame with diff colors which are quote weird to me

think major facelift or spec changes to the current fz6 may only be seen earliest in the 08 model taking in account that the current fz1 din have any major changes for that last 4-5 yrs.

think bike production is one of the cheapest ard...the last time i was there, they still have a 05 black fz6 in stock..

This is what I got from the web:

[bMC air filters (used by Ferrari F1) are made of cotton and aluminum treated with epossidic resin. I've checked the BMC web & they do have air filter for FZ6S & FZS1000.

Now considering whether to get the BMC Racing type as I wont be tuning my engine. Cause Too much air, engine running lean, will cause engine to overheat easily & backfire as well. Personally find that our yamaha bike get heated up easily as well. Haizz....

Price should be around 15.3k to 16k that should sound reasonable. I believe most of us got it around that price with other accessories which might includes IU & Bracket. Try Bike Production bah.

 

Regarding the price of 05 & 06 model, the price wont be much of a difference as for my case(comparing 04 to 05), they said the price is the same as it's only the colour difference.

I think 260km is just 10km difference in comparision with 270km. That 10km of fuel could have been wasted off during your engine is idling. Everybody riding style, warming-up the bike and waiting in traffic time are different. So maybe there aint anything to worry about
