i changed mine into PR2 tat time in less than 4-6 mths if i'm din rem wrongly.. mileage for that is 10+k km if i'm not wrong.. :)

get a michelin pr3..no regrets :D

My 1st choice is PR2 or 3 but quite ex. $430 and $460 respectively now. Used to hv PR2 on my gsr previously, used for only abt 9k+ km then trade in already. Now dun feel like spending so much again.

2nd choice is Angel ST but price is same as PR2, $430. :(

Any other recommendations? Cheaper abit...

I hv an urgent qn...

If i fix sw-motech toprack with givi adapter, do i still need to use a givi base plate to attach a maxia box?

The maxia box also comes with stoplights kit, can the kit be used together with the sw-motech toprack and adapter? I'm quoted $230 for the rack and $65 for adapter. Ok?

Lastly, my bike now has givi sideracks. Can i fix the sw-motech toprack without removing the sideracks?

by right, sw-motech should have it's own rack + base plate that fit the box.. but the ques that i think most or all of us are unsure is that the sw-motech base plates comes with the stop lights kit or not.. if no, is sw-motech rack compatible with givi base plate that has the stop lights kit or not.. this is the ques where only someone here do have the same setup as you mentioned can answer you or the dealer to answer u.. :)

for pricing wise.. no comments.. different rack, different base plate, different pricing.. :)

fz1 with givi side racks? if yes, yes, you would need to remove the side racks again becus there is this piece of metal plate that is attached between the underneath of your tail & the splash guard aka number plate holder, it's different.. :D

Sw-motech does not have the base plate to do together with maxia light kit. Only some givi monokey base plate have the hole/slot for the light kit.

While travelling on my 600 lamb on AYE 4th lane towards CTE at about 1745hrs just now, saw a FBD FZ6N followed by a FBF FZ1s2 with red and black "sai tao" riding past me on the broken white lines in between the 3rd and the 4th lanes.

I picked up speed and followed them behind the FBF FZ1. I picked up speed until 1++km/hr liao, but the FZ6 in front picked up speed and went ahead by leaps and bounds. Then the FZ1 also picked up speed and went ahead far far away. I tried to play catch up at close to 119 liao, still cannot smell their smoke.

I know it is the rider, not the bike. I scared of "uncle Sam in white Diversion 900 with side panniers", so I reduced speed back to the normal.

Just wondering if it was any one of U on the the FZ6 or FZ1? :)

Since I did not managed to catch up to say hi, just thot of coming here to say hi. Hahaha... :)

Ok...so if i use sw-motech toprack and maxia together, i'll hv to forgo installing the stoplight kit...:(

I find sw-motech rack is nicer than givi rack, that's why not considering givi rack.

No, the drain point is at a bolt at the engine case. Please refer to the maintenence manual. Usually in the left side of the bike bottom for most jap bike .

Was told that the bolt easily breaks and advisable to flush thru the hoses.. Hmmmm..

@gldozer. 18/19km/L like not bad. I only managed 18km/L max!! But i riding fz1.

4k rpm is high isnt it? :) i usually 2.5 change le. Got mood then 3/4 change. ^^ if crazy then like charles always red line. :)

For me, i change at 4K rpm. n FC for my FZ1 is 14 to 16 km mainly depending on whether i ride on expressway or within city.
