go to ban hong....as far as my experience, they only got spare parts and the mech there is not afraid to touch da bike..

GT250R... most likely Bike Pro? Since they are the agent.. I ever see Bike Pro thread at SBF selling GT250R 2nd hand..

 

To be fair.. it is a bit of problem looking for bike shops to repair the bikes.. cos some of the mech dunno this bike so dun dare touch it.. Just abit more trouble as mech got to take out the spoilt part and bring to dun noe where to search loh..

 

Read some review about certain hyosung bike, the engine is quite similiar to suzuki.. i know cos i been thru a few changed parts.. Clutch cable(suzuki), rectifier(yamaha), brake pad(sp one cut abit..)..

hi bros, i just bought a hyosung comet 125 from a fellow sbf user. paid $1.4k for a FY plate (4.5yrs old, coe to 2015) .. did i overpay? coz i read e thread, seems like someone sold his comet for $1k

 

i'm not used to the weight and size of the bike .. already dropped it twice on first day. so different from the learner bikes in school. i'm a noob this bike can install frame sliders to protect tank from further dents?

 

also, since i dropped, i cannot start bike .. bike can on, but cannot start even with choke. anyone can help? i noticed that when i dropped, some oil spill out near the engine oil area .. but after when i put upright ... nothing leaking.

 

before i dropped, when the bike started, the idling speed v. low .. until eventually the engine died. any way to raise idling speed?

 

the bike is currently in layup and i won't be riding it for the next 1-2mths. is there anything i shd do to try and preserve the bike condition? .. also, i need recommendations for mechanic in eunos/ubi area who is familiar with the bike and can get parts for it.

Its depend on the condition of the bike loh.. If in good condition, still ok la.. Buy already dun think too much.. just get the best out of it and enjoy riding..

Comet is relatively heavier then most 2B bikes, after few months with it, try sitting on a spark and push it.. Big diff.. Just take it as training for 2A.. I drop mine few times within the first month i got it, damn heavy to pick up. After that no more drop, cos roughly understand "how it moves ma... " Slider no point la, but no one can stop u.. usually is the handle bar/box(if u have) kana... Last time i drop, never kana tank at all loh..

 

usually after drop, petrol will like overflow, wetting the sparkplug.. so pull choke will actually put more petrol in.. making it hard to start.. Wait awhile then start again...

Dude, comet only 20+ pages.. read thru it and u can see how to adjust the idling and other stuff...

 

In Lay Up, remember not to backside itchy and ride. To preserve the bike condition for 1~2 months, no comments and never been thru that stage.

 

To be safe, Ban Hong in AMK industrial park 2 is the mech shop to go as they are the proper mech for hyosung.

thank u v. much bro. ur advice v. v. helpful. i actually read all the pages before i bought the bike .. was abit hesitant tbh because seems like not many owners in singapore .. so very limited peer support. btw, i also manage to get e service manual; if anyone wants, just pm me!

 

i wld like to go to ban hong but their price seems v. high. anyone here use planet? safe?

but tat day i went johor bike workshop they sey my carburetor dirty they can clean it but too risky... haha

Hmm.. judging by the plate, sale date...etc. Most likely he have gotten my previous bike from the last recent owner..

Ur bike comes along with that rxz head the moment 2nd owner bought it. There was no original headlight from bike shop, maybe 1st owner using it as a table lamp???

 

I went for inspection twice with that head(once by myself, the other by bikeshop), so far no problem..

 

come to think of it, if that one fail or kana find fault(imagine how many s4 will kana also??).. if really fail, better go another inspection centre..
