Correction, she started to ride at the age of 8 years old.

It would sound too far fetched for me to believe if someone told me this before but since I have been to the tracks here.... I am convinced.

 

Am sure this was most likely the way she got started....and the rest is history.

Thanks for the good link.

 

Much to be learnt from her, look at how smooth she takes the corners, nice lining without any changes from outside to apex and outside again. Smooth sliding transition on the seat from side to side for the corners too.

 

Listen to the engine of the camera bike that is following her in the rear shot video.

Throttle is being held steady at the start of the corner and cracked opened just before the apex of the corner to get a good drive out... hmmmmmm.

Here in the USA, kids under the age of 18 just need the parents/guardian to sign the consent form. In Singapore, they sign for us when we go for school excursions only.

Well. the closest thing we could get is small kids playing on pocket bikes when we visit Sepang for MotoGP across the border. The father just laugh it of when the kid crash and ask the son to carry on if he's fine.....

 

Guess my dad will be auctioning off my pocket bike to scrap metal junkyard if I crash my pocket bike (that's if he bought me one when I was say....8yrs old, lol!)

 

4 more months!!! I might get to see her race if she comes to Infineon Racetrack or Thunderhill Racetrack....let me awe at her riding skills man!!!

I up you if you are already racing bicycles at age 13. I was still convincing my parents it's safer to ride on the road than pavement if the cyclist is careful
