original muffler end have 4 rivets.

probably previous owner tried to remove it.

i use a 4mm drill bit to remove the rivets.

drill thru the rivet n it will drop down.

as for the screws, not sure.

maybe u can drill thru it too.

rivets use r 3/16" diameter, length can be 3/8" or 1/2".

rivet-gun + rivets can be easily buy from any hardware store.

got a complete set 4 about S$12 in sillypore.

Oh ic.. Thanx bro! I will try it out. Me also got a rivet gun complete set.. Just bought it from hardware last week.. Hehehe. Really excited!

 

Anyway, after removing the inner silencer.. did u notice any difference in term of performance wise, beside gaining greater sound? Does it effect anything? I don't really know how to elaborate it but afaik.. it's regarding pressure/back pressure stuff, something like that..

a PRECAUTION check.

check the shock absorber mounting bolt occasionally.

i found my sheared off, probably due to manufacturing batch defect.

for safety sake, just take a look every now n then.

according to roy, i'm the second owner whom had this case among rw n daystar.

Noted then.

Guys.. Just want to share something.

 

Here's another simple solution to upgrade RW air filter element using K&N filter element. I found it from a French forum, in case everyone didn't notice it or.. maybe i'm missing something here and double-post it then, apology me. :sorry:

 

Looks quite simple & it's working perfectly! Why not give it a try.. :goodluck:

Bro, lostjackal is gathering orders for K&N RC2310 tapered type filter. :cheer: He says its $80 bucks perpiece. Mayb after ordering we can go cka to install?

Hi lostjackal..

 

You did remove the stock filter rite? And place the tappered cone K&N filter directly to the carb..

 

Just wondering, if with the said setup will affect the carb if riding in rain. Honestly I'd love to do that such mod but i'm afraid of any trouble that would arise later with the setup.

 

Care to explain a lil..? Thanx!:sweat:

Hi all.. been a long time..

 

Had a bit of DIY and I got myself a cheap saddle bag/pannier on my roadwin.. however due to the sharp end of our bike the setting was not straight..

 

Cost me only $26 bucks..
