suddenly the daelim quiet...:sian:

hey, there's this black thing holding our front fork together. a metal thing... does tt have a role in the vibrations??

Posted

Hi Jagger..

As for me, i'm not pretty sure wether that metal got potential in vibrate. Mine, certain part will produce a loud 'clank!' sound when I get into a pot hole or hard bumps on the road. I wonder where was that sound came from? I suspected it came from the joint/bearing or what so ever mechanical stuff inside the steering head (rounded in red with arrow). Anyone to confirm?

In previous discussion, Stsoh (if I not mistaken) did mention that he discovered a crack on his RW.. Can't really remember which part he mentioned. Need to be explain with some image to point it out clear. If the metal thinggy u said got potential in vibrate & crack, then there will be a serious problem to us.. Rw owner.

RW Sifus.. please advice..

i didn't ask cka whether they can overbore to 200cc.

did u heard from cka???

did they say they can???

if cka can do it, i won't want to do overbore.

i will change to a bigger bike if i want more power.

I did ask Roy at CKA HQ about it.. He said that the rumors were from other branch and that CKA will not be held liable for anything done to the engines of their Roadwins should anything adverse comes about from the overboring..

I'm just getting 1 more. Need another person so we can start ordering. :cheer:

Btw...i think my stock header is leaking....keep hearing this rattling noise from the bottom front of the engine....hmmmnnn....maybe have been to abusive to my bike for the last couple of weeks ever since i installed the filter.

Update on the filter....works like a charm.....f/c is still @ 31.5 km/l!

Yah....dun believe them when they say 200cc....it is technically possible but do it at your own risk. Engine will likely to overheat and wun be able to run long distance.

However it is possible to bore in the 140cc kit into the 125 model. Moreover the kit is from Daelim thus reducing any major impact of your bike's performance.

Btw, the rattling sound somewhat dissapeared since saturday but now one of my box hinges fell off somewhere...

uncle soh, can we buy the hinges from chiap lee or something>?

Seems dat installing the forkbrace will also prolong your fork oil seals.

Hi lostjackal..

You did remove the stock filter rite? And place the tappered cone K&N filter directly to the carb..

Just wondering, if with the said setup will affect the carb if riding in rain. Honestly I'd love to do that such mod but i'm afraid of any trouble that would arise later with the setup.

Any comments on this? Jack what is the sound of your bike like now? very loud or still about the same as stock air filter? You mentioned like Harley or KTM is that true?

I prefer a quiter version if available.. silent is golden..

louder yes... but not that loud.....when you open throttle to fast, the sound from the air filter is very loud, but as you slowly release, the sound will quieten down again.

Once installed it will be louder than your stock pipe so u hear it more than u hear the stock pipe sound.

Thanx lostjackal for the reply..

It's a heavy downpour seasson nowdays in M'sia expecially in KL. Yesterday when I was riding back home from office in rain, suddenly my RW engine dies. While it still moving I quickly press the ignition button also didn't help much to restart back the engine. Pushed my RW to the safe side of the busy traffic & tried repeatly to start the engine but still didn't work. After 5 minutes of hard try, finally the engine runs and I rev it up just to make sure it hot & stable to start my journey back home. Unfortunately, the engine dies back. It's dark already when I safely arrive home and my RW engine dies twice that day.. and thrice since last month on NSH (PLUS). It all happened while I was riding in rain..

I wonder what's going on with my RW? Have you guys ever experience situation like this before? Is there any parts on RW which are too sensitive with water/rain that we have to aware of? Dear experts, please advice.. me newbie in engine languages.

Thanx in advance!
