Hello...i'm new here..i also ride rw about 1 and half year..got it from my brother..very stylish design although low in power...want to know more about this bike..my bike is having major problem with gearbox i think..i cant use gear 3 as it will become lag..so i will enter gear 4 from gear 2 usually..so anybody can help me...also anybody from malaysia can tell me where to go for spare parts??i live in muar..so hard to search for spare parts...went to 4-5 shop still cant get spare part..very tension aaaarrrrrgggghhhh!!!!!

i suggest u try using full synthetic 20W-50 engine oil like silkolene, motul, royal purple.

forget about cheap semi-syn engine oil n also castrol brand engine oil.

look for oil with ester, poly-ester or PAO, these r true full synthetic engine oil.

good oil will gives smoother gearshifting.

i went to my friend and he said that my gear is probably break...my gear 3 stuck..dont know how 2 say many my friend test that bike and they become afraid of my gear 3 becoz they never exprienced it...when i enter gear 3 it will stuck...it will move but with stuck..dont know how 2 say...i just open my exhaust and my father break something in the exhaust maybe the silencer...after that i can go to 100kmh more easier than before..

hey guys..i have a big problem now. my bike won't start..it could start earlier this afternoon but when i revved it around 3-4 rpms in neutral a few times then the engine died, so i started it it again. i didn't ride the bike at all after that, just warming up the engine. after that i went to college and i just got home and wanted to go for a ride but sadly..my bike couldn't start all of a sudden..even in neutral..really need some ideas of what went wrong :(

your carb is lean state, try tune carb richer.

or it might be water in your fuel tank/carb.

it happens to me when i always pump petrol at JB.

it just a few drops in the carb's bowl n a couple cc in the fuel tank.

 

put a container at the bottom to collect fuel from drain tube.

turn the fuelcock lever to OFF (horizontal position).

loosen the carb's drain screw at the bottom of the carb.

let it drain n then turn fuelcock lever to reserve (up position).

let it drain for 100cc then turn OFF, tighten carb's drain screw.

fuelcock lever turn ON (down position), wait for awhile n start your bike.

 

u can pour 95% of collected fuel back into the tank.

water is heavier will sunk to the bottom.

throw away the last 5% fuel in the container.

which is nearer sg or batu cave??

if u go batu cave, they don't have spare parts n have to wait shipment from sg.

better come down to sg cka-hq n get it repair.

hohoh...to far la sg...how to enter dont have passport...cant i order and they ship it to me??very difficult to find rear spoc here..now i use honda ryder 38..pickup slow...front i dont know becoz my friend just change it for me but forget to ask what size...

suggest u contact spacerevo n test out his bike b4 u do anything.

best thing to do is save your money n upgrade your licence to cl2.

switch to a litre bike, u will be smiling whenever u r riding.

big bikes r very fun, very fast n very hot.

no point gaining a few horsepower when u can 100 horses at once.

your pillion will be riding like a rollercoaster on every ride.

every things zipped by in seconds.

thanks for the info..i tried connecting back the rubber thingy into the socket correctly poking in the carb/above the engine..i think it was loose so i connected it back into the hole properly. tried starting after that and it worked..not sure what that's called..spark plug rubber maybe? it's the black rubber thing..(i'm new to bikes as this is my first time owning a real bike of my own) :p

my fren's roadwin had a similar problem as well. and just like u, the rubber thingy was loose n he fixed it back. however, after a few rides, the bike totally went off and couldn't stop anymore. in the end, he had to tow it to bike shop.

 

but choy!!! i'm not saying something will happen to ur bike la, but it's best to get it checked. the problem would lie in ur carb area, just get any mech to take a look, all mechanical parts are also the same for all bikes. it would put ur heart at safe aft a mech confirms it's all ok :thumb:

i really like roadwin's looks. it's totally different from other bikes. put it on side stand against the rising sun, u will notice the beauty in it. twister and comet's looks do not come close.. (disclaimer: beauty is in the eye of the beholder... haha). cos xjr bandit and cb400 all uses 4 cylinders.. i wanna get sth tat's one cylinder since i'm onli using it for transport and easy maintenance. next on the list would be CB400 SS or the drz.

 

if i mod the engine, change to legal pipes, doubt the inspection ple will notice anything. regarding engine number, it can be "cloned". haha.

 

it's a real pity spacerevo sold his bike already. otherwise can ask him more abt it...

hey!!! i always go to muar cos my relatives live there. i go back like twice a month??? something liddat... n i did see one black and one red roadwin at muar before!! wondering if it belongs to u? both i saw near the bridge leading to giant........... maybe the next time i go back, can bump into u again! haha

Of course it is me!!!i'm the only one black rw rider in muar...but the red one i dont know..i always see it at cosmopoint muar...wonder who is the owner coz that red rw sound is very damn good than me..very jealous with your frame n rim...black in color very cool...why mine is not black?????

black frame and rims are the newer version of rw. my rims are painted matt black.. its nice and matching..

Wow bro.. You are in muar, so maybe its a bit hard to advise.

If you are willing to come to sillypore, then there are quite a few places to do it.

 

Why not you do-it-yourself? Spray paint and a clear cealer like lacquer or something.
