hey guys, a noobie here. but i hope to join the daelim gang soon. am really interested to get the roadwin after my TP in a month's time! YAY! hahah.

and to mr. stsoh, u really know alot sia. lol

honda revive two decade old vtr 250 with new efi system.

 

nice!! it does look a bit like the m400. haha. sir, do u know if it's coming to singapore? if yes, roughly when?

it's already in production as vt250 since 1982.....evolved into 2009 vtr-quarter(250) efi.

no chance of coming to sg coz sillyporean prefer maximising licence limit.

if it is not popular, won't buy it (just like honda CB400 n TA200).

yea u wont b able to find 2nd hand. HAHA! but u can go down to cka and ask about the payment options when getting it. or u can just go and see see. the cka peeps are very friendly dont worry. and u can see my injured bike in the cka kaki bukit. LOL!

where you seen it??if in muar area probably thats mine..im not in Muar right now..i'm in Perak at UTP...really miss my rw huhuhu...just change the tyre cost me RM350 for rear n front...is it expensive??maybe i bring it here in March..

i noticed that its easier to shift to neutral when there's a pillion rider with me..is it bcoz of the weight? erm..wow..RM350..what kind of tyres did u buy?

rm350.. convert it to sg of coz its very cheap. but must see wad brand.

i saw it near bkp pasir... it's at a motorshop. u got the M1 sticker at the back right??? rm350 for a pair of tyres is damn cheap, but like wad skybin said, depends on the brand la.

Bkt Pasir Muar or Batu Pahat??i think there no sticker at the back of my bike..my plate is 3650..maybe other rw..at Batu Pahat also has one rw..

how to make run better than stock?

carb tuning? (main-jet#102, slow-jet#38, eclip in slot#3)

front sprocket 15t?

Blank EGR?

change rear tire?size?

i saw another black roadwin in subang jaya..i'm not alone! lol....btw stsoh, u mentioned using Royal Purple oil for ur bike and said it was good (i've been reading thru this whole thread ) but what type is it? is it the Royal Purple Royal Purple 5W-30 u are using?

it's royal purple max-cycle 20w-50 engine oil (S$18/btl).

i like it coz it is smoother than others tat i had tried.

not sure malaysia sell it or not.

u can try more popular oil like motul or silkolene (fuchs), at least VI 50 grade.

i went to service my bike today..the mechanic replaced my clutch plates using the honda ex5 clutch plates as my old ones were worn out n had a burnt smell..RM15 a piece x 5 = RM90. i also replaced my front absorber oil as it was leaking too..RM90 for that as well..he changed the plastic round thing for it too replacing it to a new one, Daelim brand as well..RM180 for both, wondering if its normal priced in singapore? RM180 = $ 90

every bike has it's own particular problems, depends whether u inherit it or not.

engine or components parts-wise not a problem eg oil-filter or air-filter.

cka do kept stocks, if they don't have it, they can order it.

other consumable parts like tires, chain, sprockets, battery, bulbs, oil, brake pads, spark plug, etc, tat u can get it from other shops, it will be much cheaper than cka.

in addition, either u solve it, live with it or get rid of it..........all depends on u.

Love the naked outlook + bike tires. Should be stable right??

Well i'm not a tech head but always willing to learn.

But still stuck between getting a RW or a 2 stroke SP...sheesh...
