the safety feature dont work for me le. alot of times i forget to kick up sidestand and can move off than suddenly the sidestand grind on the floor

the switch at the sidestand probably spoiled, u can remove or replace it.

to have or not to have, tat's the question.

safety feature is for ur own good, with or without.

Good point. I believe it's there for a purpose and that's to keep us away from harm.

BTW Bro, you still using Royal Purple or have you found something better? I'm nearing 500km-1st oil change schedule at CKA KB. Where can I buy RP?

Posted

i have tried some other brand eo, still find rp is best among all.

buy royal purple max-cycle 20w-50 engine oil S$18 per 1 litre bottle.

there r rp motor oil is for car use which is cheaper, dun use this.

u can buy it n ask cka to change eo for u n they will charge u for the service.

the place i brought rp eo is at tanjong pagar plaza, blk 2, #02-20 (082002).

it's a retail shop tat sell electrical n other stuffs.

not sure how much cheaper they sell in a carton.

i believe they have limited stock, sometime they do run out.

u can go down n ask, i dun know their tel no.

rp have an agent in sillypore, why dun u ask them?

i seldom ride nowaday, my mileage r low.

i change rp max-cycle eo every six months.

if other brands eo will change every three months.

rp eo r extended oil change recommended, it's means will last longer than others.

in their website, they recommend change rp oil every 8,000 miles (12,000 km) with oil-filter change at 5,000 miles (8,000 km) interval.

every six months, eo is still in good condition but afraid it turn acidic due to heat n moisture.

eo will be black (orig. is dark purple) color, becoz it's detergent property tat will remove carbon particles (just like when washing dirty clothes, water will be very dirty).

larger carbon particles will be trap by oil filter.

it run smoother, cooler (need to adjust idle speed a bit higher), gearshift to neutral with ease, will not jump gear from 2nd to neutral, clean/clear/smooth gearshiftings.

hmm ok...

btw guys, i dunno why but now when i engine brake... i will start to hear pop pop pop sound... and some times pop pop pop piak sound....

sumting wrong whith my bike?

nothing wrong with the engine, just tat ur carb is not tuned properly.

try tighten pilot-screw by 1/4 turns n see how it goes.

Posted

well, if u r not sure, dun do it....ask cka mech for help.

it's at the bottom half of the carb facing the engine (front of the carb),

u can see a upside-down screw, tat's the pilot-screw.

it's difficult n tricky to turn coz there aren't any space for a screw-driver.

dun need to remove carb if u know the trick.

the range for pilot-screw is 1~2.5 turns.

default for rw is 2.125 or 2 1/8 turns, already near max.

any more or less turns from the range, need replace slow-jet one size bigger or smaller accordingly.

ur pilot-screw probably at unknown turns coz it's been disturbed,

u need to check where it's at.

where n how much did u brought it? wat's the brand?

i know bridgestone bt090 is good n expensive.

this tyres r use on superbikes, speed rating is above 240kph.

too good n exp for use on rw.

tip:

by law (traffic act regulation), all bikes must switch 'ON' headlight during the daytime ride.

our rw headlight bulb rating is 35w/35w (it means low beam is 35w n high beam is also 35w).

during daytime ride switch 'ON' high beam n nighttime ride switch 'ON' low beam.

high beam is more visible n it doesn't blind other road users during daytime.

this method will extend the bulb life due to the usage of both elements at different periods.

only con is u can't use to beam (warning on coming) when high beam is 'ON'.

Posted

it will last a long time, almost two yrs on rw.

use on superbike can last for 6~9 months depends on the rider.

anywae hard to find cheap 150/60 tyres.

cheap ones r those 130/70 size, speed rating 'H' (max. 180 kph).

oem tyre sparrow 140/60, speed rating 'P' (max. 150 kph).

drop my bike just now...

didnt know that the metal knuckle below the footrest is verry weak...

the bike fell down slowly yet it bend the knuckle.. hehehee...

can i change it to those normal small2 footrest?

does roadwin have racing footrest?

no, check ur tyres air pressure.

loose chain will make some rattling sound.

too loose will jump out of sprocket n jam rear wheel....then crash.

i checked the tyre pressure and its ok. i even replaced my chain set, front sprocket, chain and rear sprocket..but the shaking/jerking is still there and didn't even get any better..really dont know what the problem is
