u can buy royal purple max-cycle 20w-50 (for atv n motorcycle use) at tanjong pagar plaza, blk 2, #02-20 (S082002).

do not buy the cheaper version (S$12/btl), it is for automotive (car) use.

http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/travel/travel_id_8912/travel_site_3961/

it's a retail shop, buy a bottle n change oil DIY or bring it to cka (oil change service will be charge).

dun mistook baffle for db silencer.

db silencer can be remove by removing the rivets.

it can be install back when necessary.

baffle is welded at mid-section of the muffler.

poke-thru-baffle, u have problem sealing back punched hole(s).

tat's why i hate malaysai mech services, they do things without much tot.

sound different btwn removal of db silencer n poke-thru-hole baffle:

poke-thru-hole baffle is much louder n annoyance than without db silencer.

any mod on exhaust system is illegal in sillypore regulated in traffic acts.

rw baffle with hole(s) owners should give u an answer, i dun really know if they pass inspection.

i dun have any problem passed inspections since past yrs.

dun let those mech tell u tat black (very dark) oil is bad for the engine.

rp oil has detergent property tat will suspend carbon particle n flows it to oil filter to be trapped.

sludge (gluey mass) tat's the real problem.

sludge can block small passages (ducts), reduces oil pressure n heat conduction.

if oil doesn't have detergent property then it is not as black.

dark brownish color like mineral n semi-syn oil,

leaving carbon dirt internally like sand paper rubbing btwn parts causing more wears.

rp is dark purple color, last time whenever i let those mech change oil,

first word out from their mouth is "Wah, so black, lousy oil u r using".

to me they can screw their words, nowadays i DIY oil change n dispose oil at any bike shop.

cka-hq willing to let me dispose oil for free, coz i still got to buy oil-filter from them.

other place have to pay S$2 for oil disposal.

i agree on you Suppose!!! cuz that day i was looking at the picture of ducati supermotard / hypermotard i was thinking how good if we could modify to look one ... hahahaha

it would be cool if we could do that but i bet it would cost a lot of $$$

Merry Christmas to you too stsoh and all Roadwinnners!

.......

stock carb settings: main-jet #100, slow-jet #38, jet-needle eclip@slot#2, pilot-screw@ 2 1/8 turns.

current carb settings: main-jet #102, slow-jet #40, jet-needle eclip@slot#3, pilot-screw@ 1.5 turns.

not necessary to change jets, u can try setting jet-needle eclip to slot#4 for more power.

if u r not sure wat to do, pls seek your local mech for help.

......

set jet-needle eclip to slot#4 for power n better run.

if u didn't change slow-jet, set pilot-screw at 2.5 turns.

fc will be higher (avg 27km/l), tat's the trade for more power.

if u want to save fuel than remain at stock settings.

Hello rw people!

i just got my rw less than 2 mths ago. Been great! alil slow but has been a great experience!

However, my fuel gauge needle has spasm :/ went to cka at tohguan to check they said it was loose. tighten it back . now the problem arise again!

i wonder if it could be the sensors in the tank . the spasms is very wild.

i know its about full tank , but the needle will jump around from half tank to over the full mark. non-stop action! esp when im riding. when stopped the fuel gauge dun jump as much but sometimes they still jump around. How! anyone experienced the same problems before?!

Thanks for reading :cheeky:

ur fuel gauge is defective.

my fuel gauge doesn't jump but full tank indicate 3/4 mark n when empty the needle stop just above the red empty mark.

just leave it be, i use trip meter, top up when it hits 400km or when i've to turn ON reserve.

u have to replace the whole meter n is expensive, just becoz of fuel gauge is not worth it.

did u brought new or 2nd hand bike??

if brand new bike, cka is daelim agent, they can claim from daelim.

2nd hand bike, cka warranty mainly covers engine mechanical defects.

other defective parts r consider consumables, tat means u have to pay for it.

maybe u can try n ask for new meter. :goodluck:

business is setup to made profit, otherwise it is known as charity org.

buy new bike is around $8~9k.

2nd hand $3~4k, used parts tends to fail after a few yrs especially electrical/electronic parts.

consumable parts wear n tear after yrs of usage.

if u r lucky previous owner take good care of the bike, unlucky got a lemon bike.
