Hehe...went down to cka juz now to renew insurance. Juz turned 26 so insurance quite cheap ----> $325 for 2nd party after 5% NCB compared to $495 when age between 21-25 :giddy: :giddy: :giddy:

Downside, have to add $10 for late road tax renewal fees but all in all...worth the cost savings.

Also did yearly maintenance cost for the bike...only $270 for the whole year inclusive of 1X brake pads change, 4 X oil filter change, 1 X air filter change. Will be much cheaper if you use own oil. :cheer:

u can ask cka whether they have color bulbs or not.

otherwise go down to kelantan rd where lab n bike accessories shops, ask for color bulbs n DIY.

the othe day, i ask cka(roy) whether can i install white halogen bulb 55/60 watts, those easily found in car accessories shop.

he say need to change headlight to steel type so tat it can take the heat generated by the bulb, otherwise the original plastic headlight will melt. :giddy:

i did ask cka but they told me don't havelah bro....if i go and buy at kelantan lane izzit possible to seek them for installation also....how much is the price for per bulb bro????

i thought of changing the rear signal light alsolah bro....and change the bulb to a white color one....is that possible???

avg fc = 30km/l@100kph, depends on how u ride it, fc will be more if ride

top speed = 110kph, can improve by changing the front sprocket to 15 teeth (orign. 14t).

two vib zone at 4~5k n 8~9k rpm, otherwise the bike is very reliable n stable when maintenance r properly taken care of.

Soh, any ideas about why this vib seems to occur at certain rpm range... i'm having problem wif this on my bike (not rw) too.... BTw, have u all encountered any problems with handle bar wobbling at low rpm?? Did change steering cone bearings, change fork oil... still no help

Posted

if i ride 80km/h @ 4200/4300 rpm, but the vib is usually between 3500-4000 rpm range... i think my sproc setting is currently at 15/46 if i'm not wrong... btw, if i use larger rear spoc, will it help to reduce FC??

1) is the wheel rim ok or not?? Looks ok to me...

2) tyre size/type not suitable on the rim. Front wheel size same with stock, only rear wheel prev owner changed it to a suzuki rim with 150 tyre..

3) tyre air pressure - overly or under inflat, it should be 200~220kpa or 20~22 psi. Tried with different pressurre setting, doesnt help that much...

4) wheel balancing, some shops with balancing machine can do it by putting small pieces of weight stick on the rim, those r balancing weights. havent tried balancing but any place u recommend??

or could it be tat your handle rubber damper deteriorated? where is this thingy located???

Mr Yob.....long time no see ..u having problem with the "little bike" or the "big bike"??

The engine vibrations can also be related the higher gradient of the horsepower to engine graph (can be found is somewhere in this forum). RW has 2 prominently steep gradients, before the 4500 range and 9000 range whereby the HP increase is greater compared to the ranges after these peaks.

Another problem for riding or cruising bikes is handlebar wobbling...i believe all of us experience this on the RW too. Racing bikes so far from what i've heard do not have this problem. First hand experience on Small cc racing bikes like Mito, Aprilia, NSR confirm dun have. Big bikes i dunno la...However read in other forums that changing to good racing or touring tyres will help to alleviate the problems
