managed to get main jet 98 from roy......yesterday.

fix it up myself today n went for test ride...better throttle responses.

find tat i can do 120kph on ECP on full throttle as compared to b4 110kph....

usually can blast thru' CTE tunnel at 120+ kph due to down slope but ECP is flat ground. :cheeky:

bike still struggling with head-wind blowing (wind-resistance), lacking horsepower.

main jet 97 will be perfect for our climate n altitude but according to roy there isn't cos the numbers run in even. :weep:

so next better fit is main jet 98. :thumb:

carb setting with pilot (air) screw loosing 1/2~1 turns n jet-needle's eclip on 3rd (middle) slot. :thumb:

How much for the main jet uncle soh...:confused:

Maybe will change this weekend and see.

Enuf fuel? Check.

When u start ur bike, on your headlights, check if the green indicator and the headlights fades when u press the ignition button.

If yes then your battery may be weak. If not, then your rectifier may be faulty.

Try to push start the bike (in gear 2 please). If it works than the problem must be either of the above. Go to cka and inform them and let them check. Last time the rectifier, they change to a new one for free (under warranty)

If still cannot, check and change new spark plug.

Lot of ppl doing that. I oso use bike for transport thats why never bother to upgrade to 2A. I see no point in buying big bikes coz expensive to maintain unless u got enuf monies. :smile:

not sure whether roy had this in stock or not, i didn't pay for it.

cos this is one of his old spare....he had many of main jet 108s.

try it last time, performance was worst off.

yesterday he manage to find one old main jet 98 from his junk of spares. :sweat:

asked me whether want to try or not..... :cheeky:

u have to ask him or go down to desker rd n find.

it called "small round main jet", round head with slot.

Commonly known as:"Small, round, slotted",

search thru' webby, only found these main jet sizes;

keihin = #90, #92, #95, #98, #100.

mikuni = #90, #92.5, #95, #97.5, #100.

head diameter is 6mm,

head length is 3mm,

thread length is 5 mm,

total length is 8mm.

:smile:

i think the mikuni 97.5 is most appropriate. i'll try to purchase that on Sat.

If i am not mistaken i think it is the plug problem....But if it is a plug problem, how come the mech told me that 1 plug can be used till 1 yr and furthermore wat i know is plug changing taken place only after travelling 10 000km ???? :confused:

i just rode my bike for 7 mths only and the odometer is just 5000 + only bro???

and if it is a battery problem, previosly the mech told me the battery no need to charge for 1 yr?? hyeeee.... really

:confused: lah bro

Try and push start ur bike first to see if can start. If can then like i say the problem lies either with the rectifier/starter or the battery.

My stock batt also no power after 7-8 months old. Do note that the ignition will drain your batteries very fast if u everytime press when bike cannot start.

Try make it a habit to bleep the throttle (open 1/8 throttle) when u start ur bike first time:smile:

If still cannot then starter or rectifier may have problem la. If plug have problem, then change ur plug. Have u changed ur plug before?
