Just went back to SSDC after 3 years to complete my Class 2A, and realized that they changed their bikes. Had a super red thigh on my right side, engine was cooking my balls during the entire CR!

After riding my own revo... I think the revo does run hotter. But I also found out another thing.

Usually with full to 3/4 tank. The tank area is pretty cool. Hen it hits less than 1/2 to a quarter. It starts to be hotter. By the time it hits E. I will have two red thighs when I grip the tank.

Prob might request for the instructor to allow u to pump the bike to full. I'm pretty sure the fuel cools the tank down significantly when full.

U can choose the bike with a full tank of fuel before practical no?

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

I guess you can :) unless there isn't enough or you love that particular bike. :)

yup thats true. I used to have a revo. I pump full tank before i hit 200km, to keep it cooler. Revo is okay for normal traffic unless u are stuck in jam that makes u go below 50km/h

2 years ago I took my 2A at SSDC too, also had minor burns (even blistered the next day) on my inner thigh. And that's in the sheltered circuit. Surprisingly, the 600ccs ran cooler than the Revos.

Hey guys, I have a noob question. I just registered for Class 2A and I realise the payment and registration includes a theory class. However on the booking page, I cannot find the theory class to book, or do i even need to book or can just go into the class?

I understand that class 2A requires 3 practical lesson before the test. On the SSDC booking page, do i select the normal practical lesson as per norm? Sorry because I came from CDC (for 2b) and the labeling and booking are quite specific so dont want to book wrongly and waste money. Cos what I see from SSDC booking page is there is no label like "Practical Lesson No.1" or "Practical Lesson No. 2" etc, or it doesnt really matter as the 3 lessons actually teach and test the same thing? Do they have grades after each lesson and we must pass that lesson No1, before we can book for lesson No2 and finally to No3, and then the final TP test.

Thanks alot guys. :)

SSDC theory lesson no need to book, just walk in will do.

SSDC practical lesson you can only book the one you are eligible, that is lesson 1. After passing one then can book the next.

Old2wheeler is right, theory lesson do not need to book.

Lesson 1, normally pass at once as long as u can hold the bike well, mostly gear 1 & 2. They will show u around the individual test routes at level 5. They will give u the copy of teat route to remember when u come for lesson 2.

Lesson 2, will bring u to actual test route at ground floor, where u will be guided by trainer for first round and then they will test u if u can remember the route. If wrong, need to apply lesson 2 again.

Lesson 3, is the actual testing on route, skills, same as TP test. All trainers will be scoring u from diff angles.

Go back for practicing few times after passed lesson 3 to help you prepare well for TP

My record

Lesson 1 - once

Lesson 2- twice

Lesson 3 - twice

TP - once

Good luck,

Welcome to SSDC rubbermouse

1. Theory class : There is a schedule on the online website which allows u to see what time are the classes conducted. If you prefer paper... you can always get a copy of the printout from the counters at the school.

2. Practical : In SSDC you are only allowed to book 1 Lesson at a time (Except for circuit revisions can book as many as you like). This allows for students to think about the time and book what they can attend. You can still try and sell it up to the actual lesson. But if no one buys it... then well... too bad... its taken as none attendance.

Now for example, after you pass Lesson 1. The instructors will usually update in the system that you pass lesson one. So when you go and book the next lesson. The only lesson you can book is now Lesson 2. You can't take lesson 1 again. for Class 2A lessons once you pass Lesson 2. you can start booking CR to prepare for your Lesson 3 which is your assessment.

After you pass the assessment and completed the theory class. You can now book for your TP!!! All the best!~!!
