Regarding my last oil change at Bukit Merah branch.. The mech who help me change oil, Apparently, he tightened my engine oil drain bolt and filler cap till damn tight, and i mean real damn tight.. Just now changed oil myself, had a very hard time loosening the drain bolt, think that bugger used all his strength to tighten the bolt.. Luckily nothing is damage, which will result in oil leakage As for the filler cap, i replace the OEM cap to PUIG cap which uses allen key to tighten/loosen.. Again, that bugger tighten till so tight that the allen key almost couldn't loosen the cap, in the end, the thread on the cap was almost rounded when i managed to loosen the cap, going to waste another $40 to replace the PUIG filler cap.. I'm very sure i will not go down there to service my bike again.. :nono:

wow... i was thinkin to change EO over there.. which branch u talkin about..? cos recently i received a card from them, think is there new opening branch in Toh Guan... Inside there is a promotion about change EO at $14.. Using Esso Gold.. Fully Synthetic

Bukit Merah branch.. I'm very sure from now on I will change oil and oil filter myself.. Esso Gold? Anyway I don't really use oil related to petrol station, Esso, Shell, etc... Recommend you to try other brands such as Fuchs, Motul or Maxima..

toh guan branch was open a few mths back already..nt many ppl knew bout it.. got 3 more bike shop around 2..heardit gonna hav more shops comin theeir way there

I just bought a Ta200 at ASPhoo(alexandra) last month FV plate at 2500 after plus everything onli 29++ plus some free gift and one month warranty.... hmmm..... i think the price so not bad lor and i onli waited 3 to 4 working day for the bike.... and somemore i ride for around two week my bike pistol got abit of problem which lead my exhuast pipe come out with smoke dan i call them they ask me to put my bike to there work shop for 1 week and they did a over hual for me (if i am not wrong the over hual cost around 700 to 800) and change the pistol and never charge me $$ (since under warrenty) i fell that their service not bad lor.. will buy bike from them again if i going to change bike!!!

should test and try dragging yur engine a bit and test e barking system to find out any problem before warranty is due

Buy bike can go there, I also got my bike from the Bukit Merah branch.. But for servicing, I would not go there to service my bike..

hey! how much does a sp there cost? cos im still wondering if i should buy from private sellers or asp. bcos asp does provide one month warranty and good service and free gifts afterall let's say. i want to change the paintwork and my insurance cost $400. how much is the machine price for sp at asp?

I would rather you get from private owners.. Much much cheaper than buying from bike shop.. Of cos, when viewing bike the time ask someone experience along.. Saw quite a view posts on people selling their sp..

Hmm.. I'm thinking of getting a 2nd hand Phantom TA200 from A S Phoon as 2 of my frds had bought their bikes from A S Phoon.. However, I'm still unsure which A S Phoon (I mean which branch) to get my bike from.. Can i know if Ubi or Bukit Merah branch has a better range of bikes, better after sales service and better quality bikes? I lived at the north side and i don't wish to go west then go east again.. Thank you in advance..

for your latest info.... I just went to the Alexandra branch they told me that they is going to move to Toh Guan in 1 MAR 2006.... so no more ASphoon in Alexandra liao dun waste the trip there after 1st of March guy....

Hmmm.. Thanks for ur info.. I've just settled for a new Phantom.. Think I'm going to ride it for 3 to 4 yrs, might as well get a new 1.. Worried that I may choose a 2nd bike that will give me endless problems..

 

Pls Note: I apologise if I offended any pple who rides a 2nd hand bike. I'm not saying a 2nd bike is no gd.. Just tat I know nothin about bikes and I may nd to spend alot on bike repairs shld I get a bike prone to breakdowns.

$24k for 06'R1 includes everything except insurance.. $22800 for 05'R1 if you add in GST, transfer, COE blah blah blah also more than $24k lor..

my experiance.... i brought my fireblade frm thr too... the branch queensway shopping center opp...

 

that time finding 4 L-model like hell... everywhr also dun have... went 2 many place n at most i found 3 of them only... but so ex...

i tok the price they giv mi is reasonable... without consider, i do a purchase impulsively...

 

but i was wrong sia... they only giv mi 3 weeks warranty... if any problem i can went back 2 them... KAO... 1st thing i discover is that my paintwork is not wad i want de... n the workmanship is den sux...

 

den while riding i also discover the speedometer is spoilt n the pin keep jumping like hell... the rear brake disc also spoilt n make funny noise went braking... within 2 weeks i went back 2 them n they give mi lotza excuse n try 2 push away... den make mi no choice but 2 pester them... hahaa... but end up... they dun change a new disc for mi but took my old disc 2 remole... cb... but the speedo lei??? they ask mi go ah boy or scrap yard n buy... waliao eh... they nv giv mi a test ride how i know the meter??? they giv mi a spoilt meter n refuse 2 change 4 mi...

 

den nvm... about a month after... fornt brake caliper suddenly produce funny noise too... went 2 my motor tiem n my machanice tell mi i to went back 2 them coz the giv mi a spoilt caliper... cb... i went back 2 them again they dun wanna do 4 mi coz i purchase more them the 3 weeks le... n dun bother mi... BUT THEY GIV MI N SPOILT CALIPER IN THE 1ST PLACE LEI...

 

worst come 2 worst... went i went for my 1st service... my mechanic tell mi the last owner went service n got 1 pin broke n stuck into 1 of the whole inside the carbator due 2 poor workmanship... i was watching my machanic n i trust him... but waliao... CARBATOR LEI! wad m i goin 2 go now????? change bike ar??

through some forumer here...i realised a wide gulf in the prices of bikes...

 

i went to the changi ASP...was quoted $6200 for a X9 Evo FX plate.

 

the forumer went to another branch..paid $6000 FX plate also...inclusive of everything..too big a gap right?

the prices at AS Phoon is higher lah..but the service justifies it..

 

when i got my X9 at AS Phoon...it was above market price...

 

but i got the side panels sprayed...a new windscreen....headlight switch installed...PICS communication transferred from another X9...old signal switch replaced...shaky mirrors tightened..

 

all these things may easily cost me around $400 to get it done outside...

 

so you pay the price..you get a good bike...

 

i bet if i were to purchase it at bike production...he would just ask me to do it at another myself...

 

i see myself going back to AS Phoon for other bikes next time...
