I suspect you're toking bout de sound cos by the u-shoe. I had this glat glat glat sound during engine idling when i rode de 300.

If it is, change the u shoe n problem solve but it comes back again after awhile. It's actually ok but if its too irritating then something can b done. I suggest you go MS showroom n look for ah yong. He should b able to solve yr problem.

Fyi we had our bi-weekly meet up last fri so the neXt one will b next fri. Keep a look out for the meet up post n hope to cya then....

Cheers

Coe $2704. Heng ar. I did not wait.

Expected la since they reduce quota for motorcycle.. on a side note i dun understand why reduce quota for bikes? Our roads are jam with cars not bikes. Knn just like our licensing system. Bikes have to have 3 class. Reason given is dat a fresh license holder cannot handle the power of a higher cc bike. A guy who just pass his class 3 license and daddy buy him a ferrari. He can handle? WTF!!!

If keep going up. Next time no more 2b licence liao. Cause it make no sense to buy a 2b bike.

Why so? I dun think the market for kup chai will vanish.

Current system for bike classification is right. Inexperienced riders should not handle bigger bike. Otherwise build more hospital also not enuff bed.

I recalled many years back, a doctor claimed that if there r no motorcyclists, their job would have been easier.

Demand for 2B license is still very high. Waiting period for test dates getting longer n longer. And tester getting stricter n stricter as well.

If COE for a car can be d same as price of car, why Can't a bike COE be that of a bike price if there's is high demand? Remember u read it here first.....

So u saying a person who just got his license will be able to handle a ferrari? If dat is de case den why cant a person handle a bigger bike when he just got his license?

Put it this way, if a person takes his class 2b den class 2a n class 2 all this while did not ride or own a bike. Dat makes him an experience rider to handle bigger bike?

That's a 4 wheeler. I close my eyes momentarily, I drive a bit carelessly but I still do not fall off. Unless u r stepping on it n that's reckless category Liao. Even if I knock on something, I m still protected. A recent Lamborghini recently crashed near Lornie Rd n driver got off unscrapped.

A person who after getting his license 2B and don't ride will have difficulty handling the 2A bike during his 2A course. I m a living example. During this period ur course instructor will see that u r able to handle it well before granting u access to a test date.

Yes without riding, it made us inexperienced riders.

Your experienced comes with mileage through ur daily rides.

U r only toking bout protecting de drivers but wat if he went on to hit someone? We shd b toking bout handling de machine safely not whether the reckless driver got away unscratch when he crash his stupid car leh...

Hmmm....

What is d propensity of an inexperienced driver getting on top of a sports car vs an inexperienced rider getting a higher cc bike?

I guess TP already has d statistics n if it is shown that many 'just passed' drivers will be driving a Ferrari immediately after getting their licenses, I won't b surprised there will b classification for Cl3.

Ferrari is just an analogy and u dun even have to drive a ferrari. A wrx or evo is already enuf in this case.

I had a fren who just passed his license and his dad bought him a honda (cant rmbr the model). He crash the car killing himself and another driver just because he was speeding and lost control of de car.

Hi Singa friends I've gotta small update bout my Xc:

Can't pic up my bike tomorrow.

Read carefully:

Modification sensor RR wheel speed ABS ONLY!

Due to improper installing the Clamp to ABS Sensor RR wheel speed part: (31340-LEA7-E00) of X400ABS,

they found the wire of sensor was crushed. It may probably cause the ABS malfunction.

Potential hazard:

1. Sometimes it may result the ABS lamp light on or off.

2. The rear brake system still works normally, but the ABS may be malfunction.

How to avoid the hazard:

Kymco had solved the problem.

The corrective production has begun from Jan. 10, 2014. :p :) :p :)

Please inspect the Wire of ABS sensor speed RR wheel of the vehicles produced during (my batch) Sep. and Dec. 2013.

Today they send by DHL a new clamp to Holland, so I guess next week it would be here, meanwhile I will keep my bike a bit longer into the shop.

If you own the same batch like me please contact your dealer for clamp mod.

Repeat:

The corrective ABS production with the right clamp has begun from Jan. 10, 2014.

Clamp modification is only needed for ABS batch from Sep. and Dec. 2013.

Jan's comment:

Great that Kymco solved this small and not really dangerous issue.

Caution once more: ABS mod. only!!!

If nobody @ Singapore own the same ABS batch like me, I do will remove this whole message in a couple of day's!

Kind regards Jan

Hey Jan thanks for the info.

Yes nobody in sg own one with abs yet as they are still not for sale.

Cheers

Handle, yes. Experienced-that depends on what you mean.

Based on the course curriculum and test criteria. You will be able to handle the bigger bike. Means able to start, stop, park, turn etc. I am still doing my lessons, truth is, I'll eventually get the licence, it's only a question of riding time and it only means I've mastered the circuit, nothing more. The road and traffic is another beast altogether.

Ride like a professional racer after getting his licence? Not even in his dreams.

Ride like an experienced rider? Another dream he better wake up quickly.

Being experienced is an accumulation of riding, road and traffic reading skills. All of which must be honed to control the rider without him having to think about it. If the rider/driver have to think, he'll be too slow. A good rider at city traffic does not make him good at highway riding. Everything comes from riding time, there're no shortcuts. Rushing things only means short riding careers.

Speed is another animal which tames the driver/rider, never the other way. However good the rider are, there is always a speed that will kill the rider.

Good opinion from someone still in the midst of getting the card

Should paste this in the STREET SMART thread by Spectrum.

@ Bike Yong

Thanks,

if you need my (super clear) Kymco mod. PDF, just ask me by p.m. because I'm not gonna make that PDF public.

Note:

Still will remove the mod message, since in my opinion if nobody riding the same batch it doesn't make sense to describe modification's .... and last but not least: It can create panic/confusion

J@n, have you install the rear rack? If yes, can take a picture and post here? Tks

Noop... that's the only part I didn't install yet.

Reason:

I first would like to do a cosmetic Kymco rack modification.

Because I do not like to use both Kymco's rack supports.

To realize that I will first cut-off 2 strips from "Kymco's aluminum top-plate"

Clarification:

The outer size of "Kymco's aluminum rack" is always bigger then "Givi MonoKey M.5 plate"

So to make it more nice I will first remove 2 little strip's from both side of the Kymco rack.

Note: With use of Shad SH 48 topcase-plate this issue doesn't exist!

I already also spend much money,

order Ermax screen, having the original Kymco accessories, having a view Dimotiv mod's, and some other small parts like Iridium spark, wheel-rim etc. etc. bla bla bla....

So first I am going to enjoy the naked Xc ass, later intp season I'm going to buy Givi V47 Topcase & Givi MonoKey M.5 plate, and modify the aluminum plate.

Still also need the MIVV exhaust, but I discovered some cosmetic ugly's....

Byt my prob is that I can't order that tiny little modification from Taiwan coz that "middle man company" site HOME - BUY FOR ME TAIWAN seems to be down, and can't find nobody else to order for me from that Taiwanese site....cry cry, snif snif.

See pictures below to understand that I need and like that tiny little exhaust mod.
