Your bike is fed up with you for stripping it over and over.... they have feelings too you know?

Look at Weiz's bike, tour and whack all the time no problem. You're being too gentle on the bike lah.... SV must push!!

i agree tat typically the tempo for riding sv is riding quite fast..

after riding 2 of the same bike but diff tuning.. i discovered tat my bike seems to be the odd one out.. when i previously asked adrian and weiz, both their bikes' tuning are more similar to my fren's bike.

must go and count the number of teeth for the sprocket again..

Different exhaust have different impact on performance.

During the exhaust stroke, an engine lose power is through back pressure via the end can.

Aftermarketpipe = usually lesser back pressure = air pressure fluctuates faster = higher air frequency = theoritically PITCH is high, the amplitude determine how LOUD it is. (millions $ are spent on this kinda R&D alone man)

weight of stock end can usually is heavier than after market.

Can feel better in acceleration and slightly responsive compare to stock end can due to minimal back pressure.

Theoritically I dont think it is more Fuel efficient when using aftermarket endcan compare to stock even some ppl claims so!

Top end wise, dont think there is any much different. it'll be extravagant if somebody claim they can hit 20-40km/h more than its stock pipe with an aftermarket pipe.

Its just the time you taken for you to reach your top that is different.

Just get from dealer took them 3-5 week to import. They will pass u the request for inspection paper and cert from the manufactuer. Install the pipe and go to any vicom inspection center and they test the noise and pollution or something and wait for the paper work to be done. Less than 30 mins. If any of u want to fit the pipe I am more than willing to give advice.....Is just a hacksaw job and some sweat.... And the little v twin will lot of bass.....hee hee

Btw hachi, i think I saw you at jalan kayu 1 or 2 weeks back.

you were with your friends parking your bike.

nice yellow sv you have.

There is a TL1000 S for sales on the classified.

yoshi endcan,PC,ohlins damper for only 4k.

well, really tempted. :lovestruck:

vtwins are definetly a gd bike, yet can be very problematic if the owner doesnt take care of it. Having a serious consideration now between a offroad bike or a veetwins :giddy:

I would agree on that....Is just the end can....Even those who had full system to get 5-10 bhp I think is quite hard....

I guess we pay for the sound and diff sound will make u think is faster. And now is sound more like a v twin....not a lawn mover.....

I haven try top spd of this bike....Next week maybe

Next wed I am going track with my friend FZ6 just trying around not pushing too much as is the vingin track session for both of us....Hopefully no one is on the track cos we dont want to block anyone.....

Then next I think one or two months time we visit all the highlands during my off days....genting,cameron and faser fill.....

Ya i was there....The other 2 is my biker friends, they are going to get fz1 and r1 next year then we are going touring.......now they are sparkie brothers......

I sked planet they say v twin not much problem but spare part hard to get as most of them are PI. Just saw a red SV6 at planet. I think cheong mention about the bike got into a small accident and the owner had spend tons of money just to get the bike back to sing, and cheong is headache how to get the spares......

basicly to ahcheong , anything also not a problem

well, track session to me are purely enjoyment. Each bike has got their own limits. Know it, enjoy it, dont over do it and have fun.

which day are you going ?

I suggest the 10am session on weekdays (except fri) to avoid crowd

I bet you'll appreciate the torque of SV, pulling you out from the corners fast. I mean real fast :D

For an exhaust, personally i think the header make the most significant different.

performance on header depend on the structure (cutting , size , length and precise bending!!)

For each cylinder, they have their own pipe to dispose off the exhaust to minimise the back pressure, then they come together in a mid pipe called the collector. The individual pipes are cut and bent so that each one is the same length as the others. By making them the same length, it guarantees that each cylinder's exhaust arrive in the colletor pipe spaced out equally so there is no back pressure generated by the cylinders sharing the collector.

i still prefer the sound of the vtwins on Termignoni.

Actually, Inline-4 on a termis sound not bad too.

heard that on a 04 -R1m sounds real fantastic.

IMHO, Termignoni produce the most refine ranting exhaust in the market.

too bad. it'll never be legal in sillypore.

I juz visited Motoworld to have my servicing done...

I changed 4T, spark plug n washed my airfilter..

4T: Maxima Ultra 5w40

Sparkplug: Hodaka's iridium

Air filter : Wash only

Maxima oil cost $80, spark plug was $14.50 ea

The setup was great!!

Before tis, i was using Motul 300V n denso iridium.

Confirm Maxima 4T + hodaka plug much better. Smoother n much more powerful!!

Today went for a track session with my SV. She really responsed well I guess at this stage I am not good enough for her.....Nearly got into the graval with that strainght in front of the pits.

But I found that V twin have good torque but it also have more engine braking that il4. When I bang down 2 gears and braking at the same time will cause rear to lock ...I tried to let go the clutch smoothly but it seem like I too concentrate on smoothly power delievery then I screwed up my braking...Anyone can tell mi how to improve it.....But the bike held up very well on the track.....
