i think pple like us just about to get 2A will have many many phases....

will see this bike tt we like, then can imagine ourselves on it, riding it....

then we set our hearts on it...

maybe another day go walk walk, see another bike we never see before, we like, then start to hua xin liao... and the entire cycle repeats.

i remember i was considering S4 at first. then there was a time i liked RS250. then a babyblade. then monster. then back to babyblade. then SV. dont know where i'll end up... but should b quite steady liao now.

dont need... park in carpark and self-practice liao :thumb:

That's true...but then again that's because I wasn't aware SV400 existed back then...I prefer the curves to those tail lights that look like they've been squared off by a butcher's chopper...squarish lookin...

Initially was looking for ZX400R...before that Super 4....so ah well~

It is really up to individuals to choose which bike to ride. Being a rider who rode both Super 4 vtec1 and SV400 before, I personally feel that SV400 does give me a more unique feel as compared to Super 4. There was once when this SV650 rider stopped beside my SV400 at a traffic junction and he immediately identify out the similarities. I told him that mine is a 400 and he was even more surprised. The feeling was like meeting up with a long lost friend. We kept our attention so focused on each other's bike that we didnt even notice that the lights had turned green. I dont really have such encounters when riding my Super 4. Even if there is, I guessed that no one would bother to talk about it as it is simply too common for a Super 4 to appear on the roads. :cheeky:

yeah its a class of its own.riders of the same bike somehow clicks much better

Engine servicing... where do you SV riders service your bike?

Service as in:

1 getting your Valve Clearance checked.

2 Carb Tune

others routine maintenance like oil change, oil filter and stuff I got a trusted mech... but as SV is not as familair bike to him, I prefer to leave it to better experince mechs...

Runner TYPE R:

Bro saw you mention you FU bike can hit 340km before reserve... My FR SV can only touch 260km and my fuel light start flashing... another 40km the fuel light is ON.. another 30-40KM I hit rock bottom...

also FU seems to be a very new bike, your the new SV? yours the new EFI model?

As far as I know, the best man for SV is meng tong at louis motor. 1 of the guys here yeoman did his major one at sanfu motor, may be he can advice u more on sanfu.

R u riding a 650? If yes, yr fuel consumltion is still consider standard....

if 400, it can be due to carb tuning or some parts are worn and really needs to do something. Actually for what I see, yr consumltion is quite ok for a 400/650, est 1L=25km for a full tank of 17 little, it may depend on yr riding habit, hard or soft way.

My 400's fuel consumltion didn't change from the 1st day I own it, may be I seldom use as low wear & tear, but onething for sure the original carb setting from day one was not tamper with. I believe that will be the main reason for higher consumltion if nothing wrong on the engine.

Actually there are no more new sv400 since 2001 coming in as the emission has not met the regulation here. So mine is the same with everyone here except newer and lower mileage. As for some bro here saw a FW plate sv, the owner is a malay, and he bought from someone that took back the old number and that's why he got a FW plate. I met him last years at Mah pte ltd carnival.

For 650, I think I last seen one at louis motor last Oct. It is the new fuel injection model. Think selling for $16800 that time.

Is this a concept design? Somehow the design resembles Fazer wor... But it indeed looks nicer IMO. Instead of being rounded, it is more angular. Fierce looking... :cheer:

Wrong my friend, Fazer design resembles the new SVs, not the other way round. infact take a look at R1 headl fairing design... also look like SV...

SV looks is based on the orginal design of the TL1000S big brother of SV650/400. So who's copying who?

the old fazer look that that... basically a Super4 clone with funny double headlight head fairing.
