I'm not too concerned with the bike now. I know it can be fixed, just needs time & some cash. Just wanna make sure my leg will recover fully.

Not likely. Probably the driver will claim my insurance instead. Got witnesses.

(its a long story & I'm not keen on posting in the forum)

I'm not concerned with any problem that can be resolved by time & $$.

 

Just want my leg to recover fully, else I won't be riding any more heavy bikes.

 

On the bright side, I may take this opportunity to do up my bike a bit

The 'incident' story can share, but not in forum, probably our next riding session bah... No broken bones for me, but my right leg is badly sprained, on crutches for now.

 

Bike condition I still dunno exactly, but in the aftermath, I saw my handlebars bent, pipes & air cleaner probably badly scratched.... just hope the forks & frame are OK (side impact)

 

 

Oh no! But as long as we still survive in one piece after an accident, we should be thankful. I skidded on a main road not long ago too, was shaken up for a couple of days....

Yeah... I keep thanking my lucky stars I'm still in one piece. The fire still burns, I'm itching to ride already, but my leg is still not a 100%

Haiz, me no good to go... bike still in the shop & will be for a while. Decided to do a minor makeover while its still in for repairs. Might as well since I won't be riding it... my AC was crushed in the mishap, so decided to juice up the bike with a hypercharger & mikuni Can't wait to ride again man....

FYI:

i had fractured my legs at least 3 times over the years.

i got so fed up with renting a wheel-chair that i finally bought my own one.

Not that i'm anticipating on another mishap but buying it was alot cheaper.

 

Anyways itz stil in me store collecting dust but should u need it jus let me know, i'll do a drive-by shooting.......

heheh, thanks for the generous offer, but thankfully I'm still able to hobble along. I was using crutches for about 3 days then I dumped it cos it made me real slow. Hobbling along (& bearing with the pain) was a lot faster

 

X-rays did not reveal any broken bones, so the initial diagnosis was a very very very bad sprain of the right leg. There's also a piece of skin missing from my right knee, which reduces my mobility coz it smarts everytime I (try) to bend my knee. I'm seeing an ortho next week to make sure there's no other damage to my leg. Otherwise, time (& maybe physio) should heal everything.

 

This sat I've already lined up a full day program with my non-biker frens, ending with a night out pubbing. I need a stiff drink man

 

You guys enjoy the ride.... I WILL BE BACK!

I broke my ankle once, riding the army scrambler in my NS days. Several serious sprains though, one of them put me me out of action for 2 weeks.
