I only have TPFT. The actual repairs actually don't cost too much (it wasn't a heavy impact), but I 'ngiao' mah, since the bike already down, then change this and change that so end up spend quite a bit.... hahahah

Had these on my ex-Sportster. Had it for a year plus. Yes, the leather is okay but need to spread some leather care stuffs on it to prevent it drying out. It is lockable but can be pried open with enough force (what else doesn't?). Good thing is that you can releather it after a while. It is quite water-resistant even riding under heavy rain, nothing seeps in as the opening is from the top. But everytime the dealer did a wash, there is some water inside. It is longish but odd shaped. Not big enough for a helmet but enough for a riding jacket. You need to relocate your turn signals to the rear.

Over the long weekend

is by far the most scenic and fulfilling xperience, i've had.

Unlike the highways where its somewhat mundane, this has

given me the pleasure of the winding roads,

multiple hi & lo hills where you can see your fellow bikers appear and disappear ahead of you.

Riding past genting highlands (on the 2nd leg of our journey),

our ears started to pop - altitude pressure.

 

Awesome Sights:

 

Mist covered hill tops. Cool weather

Houses perch on the highlands, covered in dense foliage.

Like in the middle of nowhere.

Cruise Speed was @ 140km per hour

When in need of adrenaline rush.....speeds of upto 170km/hr was acheived.

[only on highways) i remained at 160km/hr [didnt have the cahoonas to push further] These dudes were floating against the wind.

In this thread we arrange local meet-ups and go for a spin around locally.

Havent ventured yonder as yet.

 

Phuket Bike week is cumin up next. it's for those who can take a week off.

April 9 - April 13

 

But the most common 'pilgrimage' "ROCK-2-ROCK" event is schedule in june or july. Thats not to be missed. Clusters of harleys - big or small groups hook-up and ride to KL's hard-rock cafe over the weekend. The combined number of harleys between singapore and malaysia would reach 200 at the least. Swamping and spilling all over.

"ROCK-2-ROCK" is in July. June is that Sabah event. I know 'cos at that time, I got reservist
