Anyone have any experiences of going for inspection with SE's on.

 

Mine are not real loud so I was thinking of trying to get passed with the SE's on first and then if that fails going through the hassle of puting the stock pipes on.

 

That is unless others have tried and failed before. My ride is an 2001 EFI TC88.

Hi. I used to have SE pro 2-1 on before and it failed inspection twice. It wasnt very loud but it performed very well. if yours is not a 2-1, or full system, then if they are slip ons, you can just change back your OEM slip on mufflers and you should pass no problem.

 

If yours are full systems, i failed inspectiojn in the pass.

 

However, what you can do is ride your bike over to Meng @ sumsoon, or even Tony @ custom cycles and they should get it cleared for your in no time. You just go for coffee nearby and they ride away and come back with your baby passed.

 

If not, you can call bikebulance and they will "tow" your bike away and get it inspected for you. I did both routes before and both passed without the hassle of changing the OEMs back and off again. It is not only a hassle but it is actually not that good for the bike for doing this without changing the exhaust gaskets as well.

Hi Forum friends, just to update you on the upcoming HOG ride:

 

Cameron Highlands, 1 – 4 May 2008

 

Day 1 – May 1:

Meet at Gelang Patah (9:30am Esso) and ride to Kuala Lumpur for a free and easy afternoon. Stay over at Concorde Hotel.

 

Day 2 – May 2:

Push off from Concorde Hotel and ride up to Cameron Highlands via the old road from Tapah. Marvel at the scenery along the way. Waterfalls, teahouses and strawberries and cream! Overnight at the Lakehouse.

 

Day 3 – May 3:

Ride out to Gua Musang for lunch. A great ride along a highway built for Harley Davidsons – well you will think that along the way! Afternoon

may include a trip to the summit of Gunung Brinchang (6,666’) and back for a relaxing night again at the Lakehouse.

 

Day 4 – May 4:

Early push off and down the mountain to KL. Lunch KL – then home. A big finish to a long weekend. Lots of miles on the last day, but we aim to be back at Tuas by 6pm.
