Your bike is which year which model? My 03 Sporty used to have this problem on my stock AC & I consulted Mr Yee + the mechanic at the dealership. According to them, its normal for '03 & earlier Sporties.

My buddy's sporty is in one of the crates~!!! hehehehe... so excited for him!!! (cuz i am the sub rider :D )

Just check out the vance & hines webby and i think the Sideshots Black is damn cool!!! But judging from the pipe length, I'm guessing that it will be super loud. Anyone used it before? :D

had the black staggered shortshots for a while before i replaced them. most unfriendly to neighbours, and even to yourself... gave me a headache on long rides.

Ok la. Not loud no fun already. That's the whole point. heee. My TDM also loud. :p

Oh Knightrider, something I learnt, might be useful for u. When you change or top up EO and you put more than necessary, it might leak into your pipes and air filter. Maybe that's why your filter was oily.

My SE's are actually not that loud and I would prefer them to be a bit more bassy :? . They only become loud when I give the throttle a good twist. Generally I start my bike in the street (away from my neighbours windows) and keep it quiet till i'm one street from home then whatever happens happens.

Totally agree with the comment in bold, although I do not start my bike in the street coz I kindof like the sick enjoyment of hearing my bike echo in the MSCP :p The perfect way to start a day is with the HD orchestra

I dropped by the dealership today to set up an appt for my first servicing. So I ran a few questions by them. Apparently screaming eagle pipes (mufflers) and filter would cost me about a grand. I asked about the remapping of the ECU as mentioned in the forum before and that is additional altogether, about a grand plus. Has anyone gone through this route before? Is it possible to get mufflers first, say phytons or something else online from J&P Cycles and upgrade the filter with the remap later or should all this be done at the same time. What I understand is that if the filter is changed and mapping left as it is, the bike would be running lean which could lead to engine damage... am I right on this point or have I misunderstood? Could any kind soul who has done a stage 1 mod offer any advice, or share their experiences?

J&P Cycles catalogue has quite a few mufflers which I'm considering, was wondering if I could just change mufflers initially and do the rest (filter and remapping) later? And if i get another brand (other than SS) can i still use the SS filter?

Any thoughts, and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks in advance.

(comes with quiet and loud mode, which I find interesting)

(Samson Exhaust)

These were the few that caught my eye. I guess i'm looking for sound, cosmetics and a bit of performance... not looking to race but increase in performance won't hurt right.

Anyone tried any of these brands?

Thanks again

Have anyone purchase anything from this J&P website before? Is it reliable? Gonna help my friend order his Vance and Hines sideshots :D
