Hi guys, from what I heard from the bosses from couple bike workshops... if stock mufflers with baffles taken out... the fine is 70 bucks. Anyone can verified this issue? Anyway end of the day irregardless of 700 or 70, it is the issue of number of times we can afford to get caught. Ultimately 3 times will end up standing infront of the judge nodding the head with the mallet slamp.

Do LTA work on the weekends? Do they do their rounds on the road on weekends?

By the way, Mr Gary Heng.... where are you lately... no sound no color..

Not true. Used to be though. I look at the notice of offence they put "Modified Exhaust". A stock exhaust without the baffles constitute a modified exhaust...so I guess the fine would be the same $500/-.

Not too sure about their working hours though...but from the looks of it i think they DID beef up their manpower...

Haha, well said Shawn. You back in Singapore? Anyway I gotta change out of 16" apes, my mech also said if its above the shoulders, high chance ants will catch. Anybody got any suggestions what I should change to? Thinking of 12" apes or maybe Z bar?

Yup I'm back :)

The Z will be nice...

Hey guys, anyone here tried not riding their HD for 6 months or more? If I have to leave my bike for this length of time, beside taking out the battery, what other prep do I need to do? Thanks. :thumb:

Drain out the petrol man. 6 months or more the petrol inside will go stale and you'll not be able to start your bike by then. Even then the remnants in the fuel components may clog things up but at least most of it is drained. Your battery also needs tendering...I think even without attaching it it's still draining...oil the parts that will rust because without moving around these parts tend to rust as well. Put fresh oil in all three holes, well maybe not the primary but might as well...after 6 months. I don't think this is complete but that's what I'll do.

Dude that's 2006.

With my SE muffs no one could hear me much, not that I mind cause I'm just after a clearer tone. Now that I'm on stock I doubt anyone could hear me from inside that metal cage with their audio playing even when I'm blowing. Maybe the valve ticking clacking could catch their attention though. :cheeky:

That's right. Like some idiot I know.

that too much things to do..you can make it simple, put anyone of us as your sub-rider and we ride for you, pump petrol for you, make sure your tyres are inflated correctly etc etc, 6 months later you get back a working bike..:p

wanna ride with madness?

Jamez, you shouldn't drain the petrol.

You go check with the HD Guru you will know what I mean unless your HD has the special internal tank treatment. :p

oh yeah internal will rust. My bad

hahaha... everyone aiming to be sub rider to ride free bike... haha... i guess i will top up full tank to prevent internal rusting and take out the battery. Will follow jamez advice to oil all the metal parts. Hopefully that will work.... :thumb:

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

Just got caught by LTA this afternoon. Got caught for exhaust, handlebars and signal lights. According to the LTA, you need to register your ape hangers if it does not come stock with it. WTF right? Anyway anybody can lend me the above stock parts for a few days? Need to inspect the bike within 7 days.

Anyway James you kenah before right? Is the inspection strict with the other parts? Like signal lights all.

Whats "wrong" with your signal lights??!!!

VITAS is strict. Signal lights MUST BE STOCK. So anything other then stock is wrong. That was what I was informed of when I kena.
